We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join our Engineering team and lead one of our development teams, driving technical excellence, team growth, and continuous improvement of our engineering practices.


This position is also open to people belonging to protected categories – pursuant to Law 68/1999.

What you will do

Reporting to the CTO, you will combine strong technical expertise with people leadership skills. You will guide the team in making effective technical decisions, ensure the delivery of high-quality software, and foster a collaborative environment where engineers can grow and perform at their best. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, supporting their professional growth and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Drive technical decisions and contribute to the definition of the technical direction of projects.
  • Plan and oversee engineering activities, ensuring effective execution and alignment with business goals.
  • Promote software quality standards, coding best practices, and consistent development methodologies across the team.
  • Ensure the adoption of best practices around code quality, performance, testing, and maintainability.
  • Review and improve engineering processes to increase efficiency and product quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Support junior developers’ growth by identifying learning opportunities, providing guidance, and encouraging knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to recruitment activities, including technical interviews and candidate evaluation.
  • Stay up to date with technology trends and evaluate new tools, libraries, and approaches that could improve our development ecosystem.

Personal Profile

  • Proven experience in software development and in leading or coordinating software engineering teams.
  • Strong technical background in software engineering, with hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining complex software products.
  • Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming principles, software architecture, design patterns, algorithms, data structures, and software testing practices.
  • Experience with C++ development and familiarity with complex, performance-sensitive software environments.
  • Good understanding of modern software engineering practices, including code quality standards, continuous integration, automated testing, and Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of UI/UX principles, including experience with third-party UI libraries.
  • Familiarity with web development and modern web technologies.
  • Ability to make technical decisions, guide engineering practices, and ensure the scalability, maintainability, and quality of the software.
  • Experience with backend technologies, databases, development frameworks, DevOps practices, and cloud environments.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to mentor engineers, foster collaboration, and support team growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and align technical decisions with business objectives.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement approach.
  • Fluent in English.
