Show job description

We are looking for an experienced professional to join our fast-growing team and serve as an Engineering Manager.

We build life cycle assessment software that helps organisations measure, analyse, and reduce their environmental impact. We are looking for an Engineering Manager who combines strong people leadership with hands-on technical ownership and makes AI central to how the team works.

You will lead teams consisting of about 10 engineers working mostly in React and C#, set the technical direction for the team, and stay close to the code. You will report to the CTO and work closely with Product and Design to turn our roadmap into software that helps customers make real sustainability decisions.

You’ll join a supportive, effective and mission-oriented team in a flexible, friendly work environment.

Why One Click LCA Group?

We have united the world’s leading sustainability solutions to accelerate the transition to a zero-carbon future. With One Click LCA, SimaPro, and PRé Sustainability now under one umbrella, we bring together the most trusted, science-based tools and expertise in the industry. Our combined platforms power environmental transparency, decarbonisation, and circularity across different industries and product value chains.

By integrating deep methodological expertise with innovative, AI-driven technology, we enable organisations to measure, understand, and reduce environmental impacts with accuracy and efficiency. Our solutions empower companies to make better decisions for the planet at scale.

This full-time, permanent position is available on a hybrid basis (2-3 office days per week) for candidates based in Helsinki, Finland or Amersfoort, Netherlands.

What you will do:

  • Drive AI-first engineering: Embed AI coding assistants and agents throughout the development lifecycle, from design and coding to testing, code review, and documentation, and keep evolving how the team uses them.

  • Lead the team: Coach and support engineers through regular 1:1s, feedback, and day-to-day guidance, including helping them build strong AI-assisted workflows.

  • Own technical direction: Make and guide architecture decisions across our React frontend and C#/.NET backend, keeping the platform scalable, secure, and maintainable.

  • Stay hands-on: Contribute through code reviews, design work, prototyping, and solving the hardest problems with the team, using AI tools as part of your own daily work.

  • Drive delivery: Plan and prioritise work according to product roadmap so the team ships predictably, balancing features, technical debt, and reliability.

  • Partner across functions: Work with Product, Design, and domain experts to shape scope, make trade-offs transparent, and explore AI-powered features for our customers.

  • Raise the bar: Strengthen engineering practices such as testing, CI/CD, code quality, and incident response, and set clear standards for the quality, security, and responsible use of AI-generated code.

What you need:

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years leading or managing engineers

  • Deep hands-on expertise in C#/.NET and solid experience with React

  • Practical experience using AI coding tools and agents (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) in a professional team, and a clear view of where they add value and where they don’t

  • Proven experience balancing people management with technical leadership

  • Experience building a strong team culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement

  • Clear, empathetic communication with technical and non-technical audiences

  • Nice to have: experience building AI or LLM-powered product features, or with sustainability, LCA, or data-heavy scientific software

What we offer:

  • Meaningful work that directly supports organisations in reducing their environmental impact

  • An engineering culture that invests in the latest AI tools

  • A hybrid setup in Amersfoort or Helsinki

  • Substantial freedom – with no fixed hours and remote working supported

  • A dynamic, friendly, motivated and diverse team of professionals.
