Team members residing within the New York City metropolitan area must maintain a minimum on-site presence of three days per week. Key Responsibilities Lead and own full-cycle (from idea to production) projects that are directly used by and impact millions of people Work closely with the product & UX to define product requirements and execute the development plans Design system architectures, select/evaluate tools Build cloud-native microservices Mentor, and grow the team, our practices, and our technology stack Experience 6+ years of software engineering experience building production-level web applications in large-scale products 6+ years of experience with modern full-stack frameworks React/Angular/Vue or equivalent programming language, developing high-scale applications 4+ years of experience building reactive web & mobile-web frontends using React/Next/Angular/Vue over TypeScript/JavaScript 4+ years of experience with Python as a proper microservice backend Experience leading, managing and mentoring team members Passion for clean code and agile work Experience with modern cloud environments (GCP, AWS) Strong architecture skills – ability to design for scale, and velocity, robustness, and readability of end-to-end data-driven solutions Passion for data, customer experience, and building high-quality software Excellent communication skills, verbal and written Bonus: gRPC, protobuf In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
