The Department of Economic Security (DES), Division of Technology Services (DTS), is seeking an experienced and highly motivated professional to join our team as a Systems/LAN Administrator. This position will serve as an Enterprise Account Management (EAM) Technician. It will be responsible for the creation, management, and termination of access to various in-house developed and commercial off-the-self systems. Daily responsibilities include handling requests through the current ticketing system, participating in meetings, and adhering to the agency's change management practices. This role is responsible for keeping documentation up to date to reflect the current state and actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

The position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department’s business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Supporting the business as subject matter expert for accounts used within the DES systems and environments.
• Identifying opportunities for use of solutions to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Creating and maintaining standard work and processing documentation.
• Processing, documents, and coordinating resolution of trouble calls with help desk.
• Ensuring compliance with standards for systems software and documentation.
• Following applicable policies to ensure compliance related to enterprise accounts during maintenance, including account creation, termination, deletion, transfer, and modification.
• Responding promptly to customer needs and taking a customer-centric approach to problem solving.
• Soliciting customer feedback to improve service and responding to requests for service and assistance.
• Monitoring reports and logs to ensure policies and work standards are followed.
• Monitoring system reliability and availability.
• Categorizing, isolating, and resolving system problems.
• Implementing software patches, security fixes, and tests and validates modified system configurations.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of:
• Infrastructure technologies and in-house developed applications utilized in the enterprise.
• Information security technologies in the areas of risk assessment, compliance and vulnerability management.
• Various infrastructure technologies and in-house developed applications utilized in the enterprise.
• Demonstrated experience in information system configuration management.

Skills In:
• Soliciting customer feedback to improve service, responding to requests for service and assistance.
• Identifying opportunities for use of solutions to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

Selective Preference(s):

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

• Experience with Active Directory Account Management, Okta Account Management, Mainframe Account Management, or custom application account management.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree plus 3 or more years of experience in systems administration (or equivalent experience).
• Employee shall obtain and maintain a valid Level One fingerprint clearance card that meets DES requirements for a Level One card pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute 41-1969.
• All newly hired State employees are subject to and must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify).
• Successfully pass background and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the agency’s ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
• This position may require driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job to conduct State business, then the following requirements apply: Driver’s License Requirements. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).

Retirement:

State employees are required to participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS), the State sponsored retirement contribution plan and the Long-Term Disability (LTD) program after a 27-week waiting period. The ASRS defined benefit plan provides for life-long income upon retirement. You will also have the option to participate in a voluntary deferred compensation program to take advantage of tax-deferred retirement investments.
