Position Summary

The Enterprise Applications Manager provides strategic and operational ownership of Sunstar Americas' enterprise business applications, with primary responsibility for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management. This role ensures a stable, secure, well-governed application environment and serves as the primary connection between business teams, Information Technology, global stakeholders, Microsoft, and external support partners. The position will initially support the transition from the D365 recovery program to a sustainable long-term support and continuous-improvement model.

Essential Job Functions

  • Own the stability, performance, support, and continuous improvement of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and connected enterprise applications.
  • Lead the transition from the D365 recovery program to a sustainable internal application-support model.
  • Establish and manage a clear process for application issue intake, prioritization, escalation, resolution, and communication.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Service, Quality, Manufacturing, Procurement, and other functions to understand business requirements and operational challenges.
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical solutions that align with standard system capabilities and company objectives.
  • Coordinate the investigation and resolution of production incidents, recurring defects, integration failures, and performance issues.
  • Lead the prioritization, testing, approval, documentation, and deployment of system fixes, enhancements, and releases.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing and confirm that solutions meet documented business requirements before production deployment.
  • Manage relationships and deliverables with Microsoft, implementation partners, developers, consultants, and other application-support vendors.
  • Support application security-role design, access governance, segregation of duties, and periodic access reviews in partnership with IT and business leadership.
  • Maintain functional documentation, system configuration records, process flows, test evidence, support procedures, and decision logs.
  • Monitor application performance, open incidents, recurring issues, enhancement requests, risks, and service levels; provide regular status reporting to leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve user adoption, strengthen controls, and reduce manual work through system capabilities and automation.
  • Build internal knowledge and capability to reduce long-term reliance on external consultants and protect critical institutional knowledge.
  • Support future D365 updates, integrations, application-roadmap decisions, and digital-transformation initiatives.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, business, supply chain, finance, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Seven or more years of progressive experience supporting enterprise applications, ERP systems, or business transformation programs preferred.
  • Significant hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management.
  • Strong understanding of order management, warehousing, procurement, inventory, shipping, manufacturing, and financial business processes.
  • Experience with ERP implementation, stabilization, recovery, production support, or continuous-improvement programs.
  • Experience managing incidents, root-cause analysis, enhancements, testing, releases, integrations, and application security.
  • Demonstrated success managing external consultants, developers, technology vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, consumer products, or regulated business environment preferred.

  • Strong functional knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and related enterprise technologies.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to translate effectively between technical teams and business users.
  • Strong project management, change management, documentation, and process-improvement skills.
  • Clear written, verbal, presentation, and executive-status communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain focus during critical operational issues.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Azure DevOps, Power Platform, reporting tools, or related Microsoft technologies is preferred.

    The pay range for this position of Enterprise Applications Manager is $160, 000- $165,000. However, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus as part of total compensation
