Summary of Job Responsibilities:
The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Enterprise Communications (EC) Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, maintenance, optimization, and support of the organization's enterprise unified communications and collaboration environment. This position serves as the primary technical resource for EC systems, ensuring the availability, reliability, performance, and security of communication services while collaborating with internal stakeholders, external partners, and service providers to deliver and continuously improve enterprise communication solutions.
This position has two (2) levels designed to provide progressively more responsible and independent work experiences. Progression between job levels is based on the demonstrated ability to successfully handle more progressively responsible assignments.
Qualifications:
SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF’s geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCF’s vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services:
1. Bachelor’s degree in information technology (IT) or related field; OR equivalent combination of education and networking experience; OR demonstrated proficiency as a Service Desk Technician II at SCF.
2. One year of experience providing Enterprise Communications engineering support.
Additional Qualifications for EC Engineer II: Meet all requirements of EC Engineer I in addition to the following:
1. Two (2) years of engineering experience; OR demonstrated proficiency as Network Engineer I at SCF.
2. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP Collaboration) certification; OR Professional-level Enterprise Communications certification.
