Is this job info correct?

Please note this is a speculative role. If we move to hire, the position will be hybrid and require days in our London studio as well as potential international travel. We cannot provide visas or UK relocation for this position, as it will be a 6 month contract role. Framestore’s Immersive Studio is a world-leading innovator in crafting immersive experiences that transcend the screen, catapulting you into extraordinary realms of adventure. Combining our unrivalled creative craftsmanship with our technical prowess, we're dedicated to reframing expectations for both IP owners and their guests with creative technology, location-based entertainment, and mind-blowing theme park rides. Framestore combines talent and technology to bring life to everything we create. Driven by creativity and inspired by the future, we set out every day to reframe the possible. About the role Framestore is looking for a Game Environment Artist to join our Immersive team, working at the intersection of world-building, technology, and real-time storytelling. This role is ideal for an experienced environment artist with strong Unreal Engine knowledge, who enjoys building performant real-time environments as much as crafting stunning level art. You’ll work closely with Developers, Artists, and our Production teams to bring the level of polish seen in our Film and TV work into real-time experiences. From location-based entertainment and theme parks to VR and interactive projects, you’ll help shape how environments live and breathe in-engine. You’ll focus on level art, set dressing, texturing, and optimisation, while supporting the tools and workflows that enable artists across the division to do their best work. You’ll balance performance and artistic intent, troubleshoot complex problems, and collaborate closely with Asset Builders to integrate characters and props seamlessly into the environment. What you’ll do Create high-quality 3D assets directly in Unreal Engine and in external DCCs like Maya or Houdini. Model high-poly, hard-surface, and organic forms, as well as create textures and shaders. Develop lookdev assets in Unreal Engine, creating photoreal elements optimised for VR and immersive workflows. Focus on PBR workflows, realistic lighting, and performance optimisation. Build high-quality, photoreal environments using bespoke kits and marketplace content for level design. Craft high-quality light rigs for realistic and cinematic content. Collaborate with the Immersive team to benchmark, optimise, and enhance performance in Unreal scenes, profiling hardware including GPU, CPU, and Network capabilities. Create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation of workflows, processes, and tools. Demonstrable technical knowledge paired with strong creative and artistic skills. Hands-on experience with look development, lighting, and rendering. A complete understanding of Unreal Engine. Strong communication and organisational skills. The ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. A positive attitude towards learning and collaboration. You might also have Experience working on location-based entertainment or VR projects. Familiarity with other game engines (e.g., Unity) or traditional VFX pipelines. Accessibility Statement Our London studio is fully accessible, with step-free entry, accessible toilets on all floors, and quiet spaces available. We are committed to supporting disabled colleagues and providing an inclusive workplace for everyone. Application Process & Deadline To apply, please complete the linked application form above or if that isn’t working email your resume and portfolio to recruiters@framestore.com with the subject line: Environment Artist (Expression of Interest) - London.
