We are looking for an Intern to join our Engineering Services team in Rome and help us shape what comes next.

How you will make an impact

Your work will support the delivery of projects and help us develop solutions that respond to the needs of our clients and society.

Through your contribution, you will help support projects that create a positive impact for clients, communities and the environment.

Your activities may include:

· Support routine environmental engineering assignments for renewable energy projects, applying prescribed engineering principles, methods and procedures under the guidance of senior engineers.

· Compile, verify and correlate project data, and contribute to constraint analyses at national, regional, provincial and local level.

· Assist with environmental impact assessments, landscape analyses, hydrology, geology and geotechnical studies, including calculations, simulations and preliminary analyses.

· Support the preparation of designs, studies, reports, process deliverables, material requisitions, specifications and related technical documents using AutoCAD, GIS and Microsoft Office tools as directed.

· Coordinate assigned activities with other technical disciplines and assist with project controls documentation and status reporting, working within agreed scope, schedule and budget.

The exact responsibilities will depend on the team, business needs and learning objectives of the internship.

What you will bring to the role

We would love to hear from you if you bring:

· Degree in Environmental Engineering; a Master's degree will be considered an advantage.

· Good organizational skills and attention to detail

· Interest in renewable energy projects and environmental consulting, including constraint analysis, environmental impact assessment, landscape analysis, hydrology, geology and geotechnics

  • Curiosity and a proactive attitude

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, GIS and Microsoft Office, together with foundational knowledge of constraint analysis, environmental impact assessment, landscape analysis, hydrology, geology and geotechnics, and awareness of applicable regulatory codes, standards and renewable energy design or layout criteria

Duration and working arrangements

  • Duration: 6 months

· Location: Rome

  • Working model: Onsite

  • Working hours: 09:00 – 18:00 (40 hours per week)

  • Expected start date: 01/11/2026

Compensation and Benefits

WSP offers an internship allowance of €800 gross per month, in line with applicable regulations and company policies.
