Environmental Manager

London, United Kingdom (Hybrid role with European travel)

Role Summary

As Environmental Manager, you will be the regional voice for environmental management across STACK Infrastructure EMEA, helping embed a consistent, high-quality approach throughout the full lifecycle of our data centre facilities. Based in London and working across the EMEA portfolio, you will partner closely with EHS, project, facility and sustainability teams to strengthen environmental performance, maintain compliance and drive continual improvement.

This is an opportunity for an environmental professional to step into a regional role, working across multiple European markets and helping shape how environmental management is embedded as STACK continues to grow. You will bring strong environmental fundamentals, practical delivery experience and the confidence to work with teams across different countries and projects.

Key Responsibilities

· Represent STACK Infrastructure as the environmental lead across the EMEA portfolio, supporting the Senior Director EHS - EMEA in meeting company protocols and applicable legislative requirements.

· Establish, maintain and promote an ISO 14001-compliant Environmental Management System (EMS), including effective maintenance of environmental legal registers.

· Monitor environmental performance across projects and operational facilities, developing inspection schedules and benchmarking to support continual improvement.

· Establish, analyse and report environmental KPIs, leading and lagging data, dashboards and improvement opportunities across EMEA.

· Provide practical environmental guidance across areas such as permitting, waste and water management, pollution prevention, emissions, noise, biodiversity and site-specific environmental risks, including incident management and Root Cause Analysis where required.

· Work collaboratively with EHS peers, Project and Facility teams, and the EMEA Sustainability function, ensuring environmental priorities are understood and embedded across projects and operations.

· Engage with external stakeholders, including enforcing authorities, and represent STACK professionally on environmental matters.

· Identify environmental competence and training needs, and capture learning, innovation and good practice that can be shared across the wider STACK portfolio.

· Promote environmental topics through EHS forums and other required meetings, ensuring actions are followed through to completion.

What You’ll Bring

· Practical environmental management experience within construction, infrastructure, engineering, energy, industrial or other complex operational environments. Data centre experience is welcome but not essential.

· Experience supporting environmental activities across more than one European country, with an understanding of how environmental requirements and regulations can vary between jurisdictions.

· Practical experience across environmental topics such as permitting, waste, water, pollution prevention, emissions, noise, biodiversity, environmental incidents or environmental management systems. You do not need experience across every area.

· A recognised environmental qualification or relevant environmental training is desirable.

· Knowledge of ISO 14001 and environmental management systems; Lead Auditor training or certification would be advantageous.

· Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to engage senior leaders and external authorities.

· Excellent reporting, planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines and adapt quickly to changing scenarios.

· A collaborative, impartial and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to manage your own workload while contributing effectively as part of a team.

· Fluent written and spoken English, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

· A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

What We Offer

· Work on critical digital infrastructure that supports the technologies shaping how the world connects and operates.

· Build your future with STACK through large-scale projects, international exposure and opportunities for professional growth.

· Competitive compensation and benefits designed to support you professionally and personally.
