POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an Environmental Specialist with 1 to 5 years of experience for our Long Beach, CA office, serving clients across Southern California. You will support and coordinate EHS consulting projects, solve compliance challenges, and grow your technical and project skills across a range of industries.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support EHS projects and coordinate day-to-day tasks, helping keep schedules and budgets on track while delivering strong client service.
  • Help develop health and safety programs for client companies.
  • Prepare compliance reports and documentation to meet EPA, DTSC, local CUPA, Fire Department, Water Board, Air District, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Assist clients with permitting and documentation (air quality, wastewater, stormwater, and related programs).
  • Conduct field monitoring (air monitoring, soil sampling, and similar) and support compliance audits.
  • Deliver employee training sessions, typically groups of 10 to 40 (about 10% of the role).
  • Provide ongoing compliance support to clients.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1 to 5 years of experience in environmental consulting or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional, personable manner.
  • Comfortable delivering group trainings.
  • Ability to manage several tasks and projects at once.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Valid California driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites across Southern California.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish is an advantage.
