As an Environmental Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and documenting environmental and validation tests to ensure that products meet customer requirements and applicable international standards. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Create and manage test plans for validation activities, including DV, PV, revalidation, and environmental testing.
- Define test methods and descriptions based on customer requirements and international standards.
- Execute environmental, life, endurance, and validation tests according to approved test plans.
- Monitor test conditions and ensure that the required environmental parameters are maintained throughout testing.
- Evaluate and analyze test results against customer and applicable standards.
- Prepare internal and customer validation reports, test documentation, and technical presentations.
- Calculate testing and inspection costs and support the planning of test resources.
- Prepare and document test software and support the use of laboratory testing systems.
- Plan and coordinate the procurement of test adapters, jigs, fixtures, and cables.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure its proper operating and environmental conditions.
- Support Production and Quality teams in investigating and resolving test-related issues and customer claims.
- Open and follow up Jira tickets related to test non-conformities and coordinate actions with the Development team.
- Participate in customer meetings and project team meetings to align test plans and communicate test progress.
- Ensure proper documentation and archiving of test and validation results.
- Collaborate with other KOSTAL laboratories and internal departments to support testing activities.
- Comply with company requirements related to quality, health, safety, and environmental protection.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
- Experience in testing, validation, laboratory activities, engineering, quality, or the automotive industry is an advantage.
- Knowledge of environmental, validation, endurance, and life testing is desirable.
- Basic knowledge of quality tools and methodologies.
- Basic understanding of automotive testing standards and customer requirements.
- Basic knowledge of bus communication systems is an advantage.
- Basic programming skills and ability to work with test software.
- Familiarity with Jira or similar project/issue management tools is an advantage.
- Experience with laboratory equipment and test systems is a plus.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Good command of French and Arabic.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Structured, organized, and detail-oriented approach to work.
- Proactive, responsible, and hands-on attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work effectively in an international and multicultural environment.
