Epic Ancillary Applications Manager

This is a remote position.

Superlanet is seeking an Epic Ancillary Applications Manager for a healthcare client in Texas. This leader will oversee the strategy, implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of Epic ancillary and specialty clinical applications across a large, integrated healthcare system. This is a primarily remote position with occasional onsite travel required.

The Manager will lead Epic analysts and clinical application teams, partnering closely with clinical, operational, and IT leadership to ensure Epic applications support efficient workflows, high-quality patient care, regulatory requirements, and broader enterprise initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation, optimization, upgrades, testing, go-live, and stabilization of Epic ancillary applications.
  

• Manage, mentor, and develop Epic analysts and clinical application teams.
  

• Partner with physicians, clinical operations, HIM, patient access, and IT stakeholders to evaluate and optimize clinical workflows.
  

• Maintain application performance, build quality, documentation, and adherence to enterprise standards.
  

• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, vendors, and technical resources.
  

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, ITIL, security, audit, and organizational requirements.
  

• Lead change management, end-user support, training, and issue resolution.
  

• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and operational technology budgets.
  

• Support Epic integrations with other enterprise systems and participate in business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, Science, or a related field.
  

• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience supporting enterprise clinical or ancillary applications, including 3+ years in a management role.
  

• Strong Epic ancillary experience with applications such as Beaker, Cupid, Lumens, OpTime/Anesthesia, Radiant, and/or Willow.
  

• Epic certification in at least one ancillary application.
  

• Experience supporting Epic within a large hospital, health system, or integrated delivery network.
  

• Strong understanding of clinical workflows, Epic architecture, application lifecycle management, and optimization.
  

• Demonstrated experience leading teams and partnering with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree.
  

• 7+ years of Epic ancillary application experience with 5+ years in leadership or management.
  

• Active Epic certification or accreditation in multiple Epic applications.
  

• PMP and/or ITIL certification.
  

• Experience with Epic technical environments, databases, servers, or Nebula.
