This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution to identify improvement opportunities, develop practical solutions, and implement changes that enhance operational performance and user experience. The ideal candidate can assess business needs, recommend solutions, and independently drive activities such as workflow analysis, system configuration, testing, training, troubleshooting, and adoption support. This individual partners closely with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to ensure Epic capabilities are effectively aligned with organizational objectives. Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Optimization Evaluate current workflows, processes, and system utilization to identify opportunities for improvement. Develop recommendations that align Epic functionality with business and operational goals. Create actionable plans for system enhancements, workflow redesigns, and process improvements. Assess new Epic features and functionality and recommend opportunities for adoption. Hands-On Execution Design, configure, test, and implement Epic enhancements and system changes. Gather and document business requirements and translate them into functional solutions. Perform workflow analysis and implement process improvements. Support upgrade activities, testing efforts, and go-live initiatives. Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and workflow issues. Monitor outcomes and adjust solutions as needed to ensure desired results. Stakeholder Collaboration Act as the primary point of contact for assigned Epic applications and workflows. Partner with operational, clinical, and technical teams to understand needs and priorities. Facilitate discussions to gather requirements and build consensus around solutions. Communicate project updates, recommendations, and impacts to stakeholders. Change Enablement & Support Develop training materials, job aids, and user guidance. Support end-user adoption of new workflows and system functionality. Provide subject matter expertise during project planning, implementation, and optimization efforts. Mentor users and provide ongoing support to improve system utilization. Continuous Improvement Analyze user feedback, operational metrics, and system performance data. Recommend and implement enhancements that improve efficiency, quality, and user satisfaction. Maintain documentation related to workflows, system configurations, and business processes. Ensure solutions align with organizational standards and compliance requirements. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Business, Nursing, or related field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of Epic application experience, including implementation, optimization, and support. Epic certification(s) in applicable modules. Demonstrated ability to both develop recommendations and execute associated work products. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
