Equipment Manager

Role Description The Equipment Manager is a part-time, remote role responsible for overseeing the planning, tracking, and maintenance of equipment used in the ministry’s programs, offices, and initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining accurate inventories, coordinating procurement and delivery of equipment, and ensuring proper documentation and compliance with relevant government guidelines. The role involves scheduling maintenance, monitoring equipment condition and usage, and liaising with vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders to resolve issues and optimize availability. The Equipment Manager will also support budgeting and cost-control efforts related to equipment, propose improvements to processes, and provide regular status reports to leadership.
Qualifications

• Strong skills in inventory management, asset tracking, and equipment lifecycle coordination.
• Experience with procurement processes, vendor management, and contract or service agreement oversight.
• Ability to plan maintenance schedules, monitor equipment performance, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, or asset management systems, and comfort working with digital tools in a remote environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and reliability in documentation.
• Relevant experience in equipment management, facilities coordination, logistics, or operations; public sector or UAE government experience is an advantage.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, operations management, or a related field is preferred.
