Fineco AM, which started its operations in May 2018, is authorized by the Central Bank of Ireland as a UCITS & AIFM Management Company with a MIFID top up, and it currently has approximately €39bn in assets under management. Fineco AM is a competence centre- specialised in the management of fund-of-funds, single strategy funds, as well as Structured Solutions Funds. In addition to portfolio management activities, all key supporting and controlling functions, such as Compliance, Risk, Finance and Legal, are also performed locally.
The company started with 5 employees and has experienced strong and consistent growth, with a current headcount of approximately 90 FTE’s.
Currently Fineco AM manages 3 UCITS Umbrella Funds – 1 in Luxembourg and 2 in Ireland.
The Role
We are looking for a Senior Portfolio Manager to join our Investment team to oversee our benchmark-relative active fundamental equity strategies (US, Europe and Global).This person will be expected to demonstrate senior presence both internally, via portfolio oversight and research, and externally, via face-to-face meetings and presentations. This role will report to the Head of Security Solutions and the Chief Investment Officer.
Main Responsibilities:
- Management of cash equity portfolios including monitoring and placing/approving trades.
- Providing analytical research and trading/investment ideas.
- Lead meetings with clients, consultants, and prospects to communicate and explain portfolio performance, positioning, and FAM investment process.
- Answer ad-hoc inquiries from clients, consultants, and prospects.
- Participate in internal investment policy discussions and decisions.
Key requirements:
- MBA or CFA holders, with distinguished academic record in economics, finance, mathematics, computer science, engineering, physics, or similar discipline; or a minimum of 7 years’ professional experience.
- Minimum 7 - 12 years’ professional experience in finance, with deep knowledge of risk management (or an exceptional track record).
- Experience in selecting sustainable investments.
- Ability to conduct meetings with clients and prospects.
- Superior verbal and written communications skills.
