Description environmental field support for active and upcoming transmission line construction projects across the Florida Panhandle. The initial assignment supports an ongoing transmission line project, with additional projects expected to follow, creating the potential for longer-term continuity and involvement across multiple utility infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities Conduct daily erosion and sediment control inspections along active transmission line construction corridors. Monitor environmental compliance and ensure construction activities adhere to project permits, environmental requirements, and client standards. Identify potential environmental risks, compliance concerns, or conditions that could lead to violations, fines, work stoppages, or project delays. Work directly with construction personnel, project managers, and client representatives to communicate findings and recommend corrective actions. Track and document environmental conditions, BMP effectiveness, and site observations through daily reports and field documentation. Verify proper installation and maintenance of erosion control measures such as silt fence, wattles, stabilization methods, and stormwater management controls. Support compliance efforts related to stormwater management, environmental permitting, and right-of-way construction activities. Operate independently in the field with limited day-to-day supervision while maintaining consistent communication with project stakeholders. Travel throughout the project corridor and potentially support multiple transmission line projects as additional work comes online. Background supporting utility, transmission, pipeline, renewable energy, roadway, heavy civil, or large infrastructure projects. Familiarity with erosion and sediment control best practices and maintaining compliance on active construction sites. Strong reporting, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to work independently while interacting professionally with clients, contractors, and project teams. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Crestview, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
