ESERO Coordinator for ESA Education Office

On behalf of the European Space Agency, we are looking for a highly skilled ESERO Coordinator for ESA Education Office to work in ESTEC, in the Netherlands.
Candidates must be eligible for a security personal clearance from an EU Member State national security administration
What is expected from you:
In this position you will:
- Support the ESERO (European Space Education Resource Offices) framework project from the contractual, coordination and organizational viewpoints
- Support ESA in the design, organization and implementation of the ESA-ESERO Network Activities. These are the activities meant to facilitate the continuous learning, cross-fertilization and the ex-change of best practices within the ESA-ESERO network in the scientific, technological and educational (didactic, pedagogical) domains, including e-learning, through the dedicated events and initiatives.
The main activities of the ESERO Coordinator include:
- Support the preparation and monitoring of the ESERO contracts by providing inputs to draft procurement documents (e.g. SoW), assessing proposals and activity plans from potential suppliers in line
- Monitor ESERO deliverables, report on their progress, manage the invoicing and payment, and evaluate the impact of the deliverables with the ESA Education Programme strategy and vision
- Support the management of the relationships with the entities (external and internal to ESA) in-volved in the implementation and evolution of the ESERO project (such as ESERO national providers, the related ESA Member and Associate States delegations, the applicable stakeholders and partners)
- Ensure the compliance of ESERO activities with the ESA dedicated outreach guidelines in force; provide inputs for such guideline’s evolution
- Design, organize and implement ESA-ESERO network activities: Perform informative presentations, Organize thematic workshops, Organize Lesson-learned and best-practice sharing events, design and run of evaluation survey for the participants to complete
- Produce professional papers and articles, and review professional papers and articles produced by the STEM Learning and Inspiration Unit. Submit those papers to EIRO forum’s Science in School magazine and other relevant forums
What you offer :
- University education in a STEM subject
- Additional university qualification in school-level STEM-education or secondary-level teaching qualifications in a STEM subject
- Experience in instructional design and state-of-the-art STEM pedagogical approaches, theoretical and practical;
- At least 3 years of experience of relevant professional experience in the domain
- Fluent in spoken and written English; Knowledge of French is an asset.
- Strong interest in education activities, and in the field of science and technology in general.
- Experience in space project management, teaching or in educational projects is a strong asset.
- Proven ability to effectively coordinate work contributions from several different parties, and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders (ESA, the involved international partners, industry, academia, and students).
- Candidates will be expected to have strong organizational and reporting skills, as well as a strong proactive, self-starter and autonomous attitude.
- Strong capacity to learn and adapt as well as an excellent aptitude for resolving problems autonomously and diplomatically, as the successful applicant will be in direct contact with many different stakeholders, from a wide range of ESA staff at different levels, to representatives of academia, experts, industry, and ESA’s international partners
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiar with the ESA environment and programs is an asset

Where:
You will be working within ESTEC, the European Space Agency’s offices in the Netherlands as a contractor for Telespazio Belgium. We don’t expect the employees to be on-site full time however you will still have to relocate to the Netherlands for this position.
