ESRI GIS Data Specialist

At Merkator GeoUtility Services, we support innovative network operators. Our clients are companies managing networks in telecommunications, gas, electricity, water, or sewage. In fact, 75% of all Belgian network operators are clients of the Merkator Group—including Proximus, Telenet, Fluxys, Fluvius, Ores, Watergroep, Water-link, and others.

Our consultants play a central role in the development, analysis, and architecture of geographic ICT systems. We work in small to medium-sized teams, made up of Merkator colleagues, client employees, and other consultants. Our specialties include independent and neutral advice, as well as the integration of GIS technologies such as ESRI, open-source solutions, Safe Software, and Hexagon for design, analysis, and development.

We work closely with our clients’ business analysts and managers—proposing ideas, designing new systems, developing, testing, releasing, and yes, fixing bugs too. There’s plenty of variety.

Your Profile:

• You are an ESRI GIS Data Specialist with experience in the installation, configuration, and architecture of ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, and more.
• You can translate customer needs into efficient database designs and configurations.
• You stay up to date with technological developments both within and outside the GIS domain.
• You have experience working in an enterprise environment and feel right at home there.
• You have at least 3 years of experience as a data specialist.
• You communicate fluently in Dutch and English.
• Bonus: Experience in telecom, electricity, gas distribution and transport, water, or sewage.
• Bonus: Recent ESRI certifications.
