Estimator – Roofing & Cladding

Our client, a well-established and growing roofing and cladding contractor, is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team on a fully remote basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator with a background in roofing, cladding, façades or the wider construction industry to join a busy and successful business delivering commercial, industrial and specialist construction projects throughout Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and competitive tender submissions.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Measure quantities and prepare detailed pricing.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Analyse project costs and identify value engineering opportunities.
• Liaise with project managers, contracts managers, clients and suppliers.
• Assist with project handovers following successful tenders.
• Ensure all tenders are completed accurately and submitted within deadlines.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as an Estimator within the construction industry.
• Essential: Experience working for a roofing, cladding or construction subcontractor.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and tender documentation.
• Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and work independently in a remote environment.
• Fluent spoken and written English is essential, with excellent communication skills.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
• Full eligibility to work in Ireland.
