We are currently partnering with a leading international engineering and construction organisation to recruit an experienced CSA Estimator for a permanent position.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading contractor delivering some of the most complex and technically challenging projects across sectors including advanced manufacturing, life sciences, data centres, and high-tech industrial facilities. Working as part of an established pre-construction and commercial team, the successful candidate will play a key role in the preparation of competitive and accurate estimates for major projects throughout Ireland and Europe.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for CSA (Civil, Structural & Architectural) packages on large-scale construction projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, scope documents, and tender information to determine project requirements and associated costs.
• Perform quantity take-offs and cost analysis for civil, structural, architectural, and site development works.
• Develop detailed cost plans, budgets, and estimate breakdowns throughout the tendering process.
• Source and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Assist with procurement planning and package strategy development.
• Identify commercial risks, opportunities, and value engineering options during the pre-construction phase.
• Collaborate closely with design, engineering, procurement, and project delivery teams to ensure accurate pricing and scope alignment.
• Prepare tender clarifications, cost reports, and estimate presentations for internal and client review.
• Maintain awareness of market conditions, material pricing trends, labour costs, and subcontractor capacity.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within estimating and pre-construction functions.

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Previous experience in a CSA Estimator, Quantity Surveyor, Cost Engineer, or similar commercial role.
• Strong understanding of civil, structural, and architectural construction methodologies.
• Experience working on large-scale commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, data centre, or mission-critical projects would be highly advantageous.
• Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for complex projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with estimating software and digital take-off tools is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative project team environment.
