Estimator (prefabricated wooden buildings)

ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for an Estimator to join our team and take responsibility for preparing cost estimates and calculating material quantities for timber building projects. In this role, you will analyse technical project documentation and drawings, accurately calculate material, prepare estimates, and identify opportunities to optimise project solutions and costs. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, technical information, and drawings, is confident in making independent decisions, and wants to contribute to improving and automating our estimating processes. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare material quantity take-offs and cost estimates based on technical project documentation. Analyse project documentation and drawings and calculate material quantities. Identify opportunities to optimise and improve project solutions. Collaborate with project team members, the manager, and Sales Managers. Contact subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing and technical specifications for works and materials. Work with estimating and drawing review software. Optimise and continuously improve the estimating process. Contribute to the development and implementation of automated estimating solutions. REQUIREMENTS Ability to read and analyse technical drawings and project documentation. Ability to accurately calculate quantities and justify calculations. Strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and ability to make independent decisions. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Good working knowledge of MS Excel or Google Sheets. Good command of English (B2 level or above). Previous experience in cost estimating in the construction industry would be an advantage. WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
