ETL Test Manager / Test Lead — UK, Remote (Contract)

Rate: Up to €400/day (Inside IR35)

We are urgently hiring an ETL Test Manager / Test Lead for a contract role with a leading financial services organisation based in Dublin, Ireland. This is fully remote, UK-based, with an immediate start.

About the role

You will lead end-to-end ETL testing for Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence projects, owning test strategy, execution, and delivery across a complex data environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end ETL testing activities for Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence projects
• Analyze business requirements, source-to-target mappings, and data models to define comprehensive test strategies
• Design, develop, and review ETL test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts
• Validate data transformations, aggregations, and business rules across source and target systems
• Perform full Data Warehouse testing scope: ETL Testing, Data Migration Testing, Data Reconciliation Testing, Data Quality Testing, Regression Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Create and execute complex SQL queries for backend data validation in Teradata
• Identify, analyze, and track defects through resolution
• Coordinate with Developers, Data Architects, Business Analysts, Project Managers and Business users
• Lead test planning, estimation, execution, defect management, and status reporting
• Mentor and guide ETL testers and junior QA team members
• Ensure adherence to QA processes, standards, and best practices
• Participate in release planning, risk assessment, and production validation activities

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Teradata and complex SQL for data validation
• Proven ETL and Data Warehouse/BI testing background
• Experience with source-to-target mapping, data reconciliation, and data migration testing
• Experience mentoring or leading junior testers
