Company Description Big Bark News & Media is Ireland’s only dedicated canine news and media platform, providing independent community based journalism, data-driven insights, and real-time reporting on issues important to dog owners, industry professionals, and policymakers. Through our national newswire, Missing Paws tracking system, and canine intelligence data hub, we bring structure, visibility, and accountability to a traditionally fragmented sector. We collaborate with media outlets, charities, rescues, and businesses to amplify credible stories and promote animal welfare. Our work centers on delivering trusted, accessible information to the public while supporting responsible decision-making across the canine ecosystem.

Role Description The Event Management Intern will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of virtual and occasional in-person events such as webinars, community forums, and industry briefings. This internship role is remote and involves assisting with event logistics, timelines, participant communications, and post-event follow-up. Day-to-day tasks include helping design event programs, liaising with speakers and partners, preparing promotional materials, coordinating registrations, and maintaining event documentation. The intern will also support basic marketing activities around events, contribute to feedback collection, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure each event aligns with Big Bark News & Media’s mission and brand.
