About the Opportunity
The hiring organization is seeking an Events Manager to oversee live events end to end, with an initial focus on a cohort-based executive business education program. This role produces weekly virtual sessions, intimate learner gatherings, and multi-day in-person experiences. As cohort-based programming expands across executive education, certificates, and additional products, this position will also help establish the operational foundation for a centralized events function supporting live experiences across the organization.
This is a remote position open to applicants based in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, or Ontario and British Columbia, Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end production of live virtual sessions for cohort-based executive and certificate programs, including scheduling, run of show, rehearsals, speaker preparation, platform setup, moderation, Q&A, and real-time troubleshooting.
- Plan and execute in-person experiences ranging from small dinners and gatherings to multi-day cohort experiences, overseeing venues, production, audiovisual requirements, vendors, travel, and on-site execution.
- Manage the overarching events calendar, coordinating instructor and practitioner availability, programming needs, and learner time zones.
- Serve as the primary logistics partner for instructors, guest practitioners, and their teams to ensure seamless delivery from preparation through day-of execution.
- Build scalable event operations, including run-of-show templates, production checklists, escalation paths, backup plans, and post-event workflows.
- Own event budgets, vendors, contracts, and negotiations, balancing scope, quality, and cost.
- Partner with Community, Marketing, Product, and channel leads to drive attendance and deliver a strong learner experience before, during, and after events.
- Use event data, feedback, and AI-enabled tools to continuously enhance programming and scale the events function.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of event management, production, or experiential programming experience covering both recurring virtual events and multi-day in-person experiences.
- Deep experience producing live virtual programming, with the ability to troubleshoot calmly and resourcefully during live events.
- Proven experience managing venues, vendors, audiovisual production, contracts, budgets, and on-site event execution.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills, including the ability to manage a weekly programming cadence alongside larger event builds.
- Strong communication skills with demonstrated comfort working directly with high-profile speakers, executives, talent, and their teams.
- Comfort using event technology, data, and emerging AI tools to improve operations and participant experience.
- Willingness to travel for in-person events and flex working hours around live programming across multiple time zones.
- Residence in one of the approved hiring locations: AZ, CA, CT, FL, GA, IL, MA, MI, NH, NJ, NY, NC, OH, PA, TN, TX, UT, WA, or Ontario and British Columbia, Canada.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range: $121,000—$145,000 USD (rate reflective of New York City, California, and Washington, with compensation subject to geographic differentials based on location).
