Job Description


The Event Manager is responsible for owning the management and delivery of assigned events projects and/or focus areas for virtual or in-person events.

Scope of Work

The Event Manager is a project management-focused role responsible for the end-to-end planning and execution of multiple client meetings and events. They support day to day needs of the Travel and Events team, including but not limited to:

  • Ownership of all project delivery elements within this unique events project management role, utilizing standard processes and procedures to achieve client satisfaction
  • Manage timelines and logistical elements for multiple programs monthly
  • Participate in internal and external team meetings/calls with key stakeholders
  • Develop and distribute communications
  • Manage event registration process
  • Proactively escalate potential client or project issues to management and account team for timely resolution
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client contacts
  • Build strong client relationships through proactive communication and responsiveness
  • Collaborate with supplier partners and internal support areas
  • Navigate within technology platforms and data sharing tools
  • Oversee appropriate reporting and accurate data
  • Financial accountability and budget management for assigned projects
  • Anticipate challenges and respond quickly to attendee needs to ensure successful program execution
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 4-year degree or equivalent 3+ years of Event Management, Marketing Project Management or Field Marketing experience in the following categories: meetings, incentives, or field marketing programs
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with high proficiency in Excel
  • Proven financial management aptitude with experience managing large volumes of financial transactions and preparing final billing reconciliations across multiple projects with accuracy and timeliness
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Process-oriented mindset with the ability to maintain adherence to established processes and operational standards
  • Supreme organizational and time management skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Passion for delivering a superior client experience and helping to meet business objectives
  • Possible travel for client meetings, site inspections and/or onsite for assigned projects – approximately 1-2 times annually
