Events and Partnerships Manager Job Description: We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Events and Partnerships Manager to lead the planning, execution, and growth of strategic events and partnership initiatives across Melbourne and broader Australia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event management, business development, partnerships, or community engagement, with the ability to build lasting relationships that drive brand visibility and business growth. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, stakeholder management experience, and a strong understanding of networking, sponsorships, and strategic collaborations. Experience working with professional services, legal, recruitment, or B2B organizations will be highly regarded. Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate, and execute corporate events, networking functions, conferences, webinars, and partnership activations. Develop and manage strategic partnerships with industry associations, vendors, sponsors, universities, and business communities. Identify new partnership and collaboration opportunities to enhance brand awareness and business growth. Manage event logistics including venue coordination, budgeting, timelines, marketing collateral, registrations, and post-event reporting. Collaborate closely with internal marketing, recruitment, and leadership teams to align events with business objectives. Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and external partners. Track event performance metrics, ROI, attendance, and engagement outcomes to optimize future initiatives. Coordinate sponsorship opportunities and ensure successful delivery of partnership agreements. Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within the Melbourne business community. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Event Management, or a related field preferred. Minimum 3+ years of experience in events management, partnerships, business development, or corporate engagement roles. Strong experience managing end-to-end corporate or professional events. Proven ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships and stakeholder relationships. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Strong project management and organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail. Experience managing budgets, timelines, and multiple concurrent projects. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams. Familiarity with CRM systems, event management platforms, and marketing tools is preferred.
