Her PLAN (Her Pregnancy and Life Assistance Network) works to strengthen the pro-life safety net by connecting communities, organizations, and resources that support pregnant and parenting women and their families. Through community collaboration, resource mapping, and proven programs, Her PLAN helps identify gaps in care and equips communities to better meet the real-world needs of women and families.
As part of this work, Her PLAN hosts Benefits Training Events that equip pregnancy center staff, church volunteers, nonprofit service providers, community advocates, and other partners to better understand and navigate government benefits and community resources available to families. Trainings address programs and resources such as Medicaid, SNAP, WIC, child care assistance, housing, mental health, transportation, and other state-specific services.
We are looking for an Events Coordinator who is highly organized, detail-oriented, relational, and ready to take ownership of planning and executing these important trainings across the country. If you love bringing people together, managing the many moving pieces behind a successful event, and using your skills in service of a mission, this could be a great fit.
What You'll Do
- Plan and coordinate Benefits Training Events from initial preparation through post-event follow-up.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for each training and coordinate closely with Her PLAN State Development Coordinators.
- Manage event logistics, including registration, presenters, vendors, staffing, materials, and attendee experience.
- Coordinate with key external partners, including government offices, Departments of Human Services, presenters, and community organizations.
- Manage post-event follow-up, including attendee communications, outstanding invoices, pledge follow-up, and event debriefs.
- Help ensure each event is organized, professional, welcoming, and effective in equipping attendees to better connect women and families with available resources.
What We're Looking For
- Exceptional Organization & Attention to Detail – You can manage multiple moving pieces without losing sight of deadlines or details.
- Event Planning & Execution – You enjoy taking a project from idea to successful completion.
- Relationship Building – You communicate professionally and bring a warm, service-minded approach to working with partners, presenters, vendors, and attendees.
- Problem Solving – You remain calm when plans change and can quickly identify practical solutions.
- Technology & Data Skills – You are comfortable working with Excel and the systems needed to organize events and information.
- Mission Alignment – You are excited to use your talents to strengthen the pro-life safety net for women and families.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Relevant experience in event coordination, nonprofit programs, pregnancy help, community development, government benefits navigation, social services, training, or a related field is valuable.
Location: Remote/work from home.
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday. Schedule flexibility will be necessary around events and travel.
Travel: This is a high-travel position, approximately 50%, supporting trainings and events in states including North Carolina, Arkansas, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Texas, Iowa, Georgia, Florida, and Nebraska, with occasional travel to Her PLAN headquarters in Arlington, Virginia.
