Rocket Padel Events Manager
Location: Rocket Padel Battersea Power Station, with support across UK clubs
Salary: Competitive - depending on experience
Reports to: Club Manager & Founders
Works closely with: Operations, Food & Beverage, Coaching and Marketing
Role Overview
At Rocket Padel, we’re creating more than padel clubs. We’re building social destinations where sport, lifestyle, community and commercial opportunity come together. We’re looking for a hands-on Events Manager to grow our events business and deliver memorable experiences, with Battersea as the primary focus and additional responsibility across our wider UK club network.
You’ll own the client journey from enquiry and booking through to planning, delivery and follow-up. Combining event sales with hospitality and operational coordination, you’ll manage corporate events, private bookings, tournaments, socials and brand activations. At Battersea, you’ll work within agreed event days and time slots; across other clubs, you’ll support sales and planning and agree clear handovers to local delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Client Relationships
· Manage enquiries through to confirmed bookings, gathering client requirements and preparing proposals, packages and quotations within agreed pricing and availability.
· Proactively follow up leads, build corporate relationships and identify opportunities for new business, repeat bookings and additional F&B, coaching and event spend.
· Act as the main client contact and conduct post-event follow-up to gather feedback and secure future bookings.
· Support sales across the wider club network, matching enquiries to suitable venues and tailoring offers to each club’s requirements.
Event Planning & Administration
· Plan confirmed events and produce clear briefs and running sheets covering timings, guest numbers, courts, staffing, coaches, equipment, setup and special requests.
· Coordinate teams and suppliers, including F&B packages, dietary requirements and service timings, allowing sufficient notice for ordering and preparation.
· Produce a weekly events overview, lead team briefings and communicate changes promptly to everyone involved.
· Ensure deposits, player information, waivers and relevant documentation are completed, and maintain accurate Salesforce records, booking status and follow-up actions.
· Agree named local delivery leads for events at other clubs and ensure handovers are complete and appropriately resourced.
Event Delivery & Club Experience
· Check venue readiness with Operations and local delivery teams, ensuring event spaces, equipment, branding and booked courts are prepared for the agreed start time.
· Welcome clients and oversee key Battersea events, coordinating coaches, hosts and F&B service to keep activities running smoothly and on time.
· Coordinate tournament formats, scoring and player organization with the Coaching team where required.
· Anticipate guest needs and resolve issues promptly, maintaining a warm, professional experience and attending key events at other clubs when needed.
Skills & Experience
Essential
· Commercial focus and confidence converting enquiries into bookings and building lasting client relationships.
· Excellent organization, attention to detail and communication, with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities.
· Confidence hosting groups, briefing teams and working across departments and locations.
· A proactive, calm and customer-focused approach, with ownership of results and the ability to work independently.
· Flexibility to support evening and weekend events and travel to other clubs when required.
Desirable
· Experience in events, hospitality, leisure or sport, particularly corporate or premium events.
· Experience using Salesforce or another CRM platform.
· Knowledge of padel or racket sports.
Success Measures
· Event revenue, enquiry-to-booking conversion and a healthy future booking pipeline.
· Client satisfaction, repeat bookings and increased F&B and coaching spend.
· Consistent event delivery, timely briefs and effective handovers to club teams.
· Accurate Salesforce records and event administration.
· Attendance and commercial performance of socials, tournaments and club events.
What we offer
· The opportunity to take ownership of a major growth area within one of the UK’s fastest-growing padel businesses.
· A highly visible role with direct impact on Rocket Padel’s growth.
· Exposure to some of the UK’s most exciting brands and businesses.
· A fun, ambitious and entrepreneurial working environment surrounded by a vibrant community of players, professionals and enthusiasts.
What Success Looks Like
Clients receive clear, timely communication and events are well planned and delivered. Club teams know what is expected, Salesforce reflects a reliable pipeline, and guests leave wanting to return. Battersea remains the priority, while wider club support creates additional commercial opportunities with clear local ownership of delivery.
