Scipio & Partners is a senior-led management consulting firm supporting executives and investors on strategic decisions and complex transformations. Our work spans strategy and commercial due diligence, operating model design, post-merger integration and carve-outs, and technology, data and AI transformation.

We combine experienced consulting alumni and senior operators with focused analytical and specialist support. Advisors work directly with decision-makers in small teams, taking responsibility for both the quality of the thinking and its practical application.

The opportunity

We are expanding our network of independent advisors for current and future client mandates. We seek McKinsey, BCG or Bain alumni who bring structured thinking, sound judgment and the willingness to deliver hands-on.

Assignments vary by expertise, seniority and availability, from focused expert contributions and workstream leadership to broader engagement responsibility. This is project-based collaboration for established independent professionals.

Depending on the mandate, you will...

• Structure the problem: Translate a client’s priorities into clear questions, hypotheses, analyses and workplans.
• Develop the answer: Lead interviews, assess evidence, build business cases and turn findings into clear recommendations.
• Produce client-ready work: Create and refine executive presentations, decision papers and practical implementation plans.
• Work directly with stakeholders: Facilitate discussions, challenge assumptions constructively and help leadership teams reach decisions.
• Support execution: Translate recommendations into responsibilities, milestones and governance, and help resolve delivery issues.
• Direct supporting resources: Guide analysts and specialists while retaining ownership of the final output.

Where relevant, you may also help shape proposals and develop existing client relationships.

What we require

• At least two years of professional consulting tenure at McKinsey, BCG or Bain. Please make the firm, role and dates clear in your application.
• An established independent professional setup: You must operate as a registered freelancer or self-employed professional, or through your own registered business, and be able to contract with and invoice Scipio & Partners.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to move from an ambiguous brief to a defensible recommendation.
• Evidence of personal ownership of consulting deliverables, including analyses, executive presentations and stakeholder discussions.
• A hands-on working style. You should be comfortable developing the analysis and materials yourself, alongside directing others where support is available.
• Reliable delivery, proactive communication and the judgment to work independently in sensitive client environments.
• Professional fluency in English. Additional languages and relevant sector expertise are welcome.
