About The Role

The Executive Administrative Assistant (Data Processor) at Lowcountry Connections Academy plays a vital role in supporting the school's leadership team by providing high-level administrative and data management assistance. This position is remote and requires the candidate to reside within South Carolina. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex calendars, coordinating meetings, preparing documentation, and handling correspondence for school leadership. Additionally, the role involves maintaining accurate student records within PowerSchool and other relevant systems, generating reports, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The position demands excellent organizational skills, confidentiality, sound judgment, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced virtual environment. The Assistant also acts as a liaison with local school districts and state agencies, supporting data reporting, testing preparations, and compliance activities to ensure the school's smooth operation and accountability.

Qualifications

  • Residency within South Carolina is mandatory.
  • Experience with PowerSchool or equivalent student information systems is required.
  • Prior management, supervisory, or lead administrative experience is preferred.
  • Associate's degree or higher is preferred; equivalent administrative or management experience will also be considered.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and web-based applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively in a virtual environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Customer-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel within South Carolina for school events, meetings, and testing as needed.
  • Ability to operate a personal electronic device with secure email and two-step authentication.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct administrative support to the School Leader and leadership team, including managing calendars, correspondence, and meeting logistics.
  • Prepare agendas, materials, and minutes for leadership, board, and staff meetings.
  • Manage scheduling of appointments, school events, and activities to ensure smooth operations.
  • Screen and respond to phone and email inquiries on behalf of school leadership.
  • Assist with daily operational responsibilities as they arise, demonstrating flexibility and initiative.
  • Enter and maintain student data in PowerSchool and other data systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Generate reports for school leadership, regulatory agencies, and state departments as required.
  • Support state and district data reporting, including testing preparations and compliance documentation.
  • Maintain knowledge of federal and South Carolina-specific regulations regarding student records and privacy.
  • Coordinate with local school districts regarding transcripts, student records, and data interpretation.
  • Ensure the school’s adherence to charter school accountability standards and regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all communications with families and staff.
