WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Provide high-level, confidential administrative support to executive leadership. Prepare and summarize information to support decision-making, manage communications and office operations, and represent the executive or leadership team in meetings and interactions with stakeholders. Coordinate administrative, logistical, and human resources activities while exercising sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive information. Apply comprehensive knowledge of organizational policies and procedures to support business objectives and provide guidance and leadership to volunteers.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the executive's calendar, including meetings, appointments, travel, and visits to field or operating units.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and prepare agendas for meetings. May assist in planning and coordinating high-level meetings for which the executive's office is responsible.
- Prepare presentations, memos, reports, and correspondence for the executive's signature or on behalf of the executive.
- Review correspondence to ensure consistency with organizational policies and practices.
- Conduct research and perform analytical tasks related to operational issues and strategic initiatives. May coordinate special projects and compile results or findings from multiple departments reporting to the executive.
- Screen and prioritize calls for the executive, ensuring appropriate follow-up actions are taken.
- Coordinate office activities and communications on behalf of the executive.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
Experience: Minimum 7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
Skills & Abilities:
- Prior experience supporting executive-level leadership.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
Travel: May require some travel.

The salary range for this position is $34.00-$38.00.
Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role.
