Providing leadership, education, training, professional support and quality assurance, the organisation plays an important role in advancing best practice across Aotearoa. You will join a small, collaborative team committed to making a meaningful difference.

The Role

You will become the trusted right-hand support to the General Manager, helping a national organisation deliver on its strategic priorities. Working remotely and with a high degree of independence, you will quickly develop a strong understanding of the GM's priorities and provide thoughtful, proactive support.

The Key Aspects Of The Role Will See You

  • Manage the GM’s inbox, diary, appointments and schedule
  • Triage incoming correspondence and action emails as appropriate
  • Coordinate meetings and provide relevant papers in advance
  • Prepare, edit, format and distribute reports, presentations and other documents
  • Arrange travel, accommodation and meeting logistics
  • Liaise with Board and Committee members, staff and key stakeholders
  • Support the coordination of governance and committee meetings
  • Produce concise meeting notes and action points from recordings
  • Maintain action registers and monitor key commitments, deadlines and deliverables

  • Maintain accurate records, documentation and filing systems
  • Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and ways of working
  • Provide proactive coordination and administrative support across the wider organisation.

About You

You will be an experienced executive support or senior administration professional who is skilled at anticipating needs, managing competing demands and exercising sound judgement.

You will thrive working remotely, build strong relationships and bring a proactive, solutions-focused approach to your work.

A basic understanding and acknowledgement of the importance of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Mātauranga Māori and te reo Māori would be welcomed.

What’s in it for You?

This is a rare opportunity to combine a flexible, part-time work arrangement with meaningful, purpose-led work. You will join a highly regarded organisation where your contribution will be visible, valued and impactful.

  • A permanent part-time position working 20 hours per week
  • Flexible, remote working arrangements from Wellington, Nelson or Auckland
  • Work from home and wellbeing allowance
  • Regular online collaboration and quarterly in-person team gatherings
  • A supportive team that values personal and collective wellbeing
  • Meaningful work contributing to positive outcomes across Aotearoa
