This individual will serve as the company's patient services subject matter expert and will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive patient support model that enables timely therapy access, reimbursement support, affordability programs, adherence services, and an exceptional experience for patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers. As NewAmsterdam Pharma prepares for its anticipated first commercial launch, pending regulatory approval, this leader is responsible for building foundational patient support capabilities, establishing launch-ready infrastructure, and ensuring readiness for successful commercialization and ongoing operations. The Executive Director will define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for patient support services, translating organizational objectives into scalable operating models and sustainable capabilities. This individual will establish productive external partnerships, provide leadership on patient access and support strategies, and collaborate across Market Access, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Legal, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to address barriers to therapy and optimize the patient experience. This role reports directly to the Executive Vice President, Market Access & Public Affairs. Key Responsibilities Develop and lead the strategic vision, operating model, and execution plan for NewAmsterdam Pharma's U.S. Patient Support Services function. Design, build, and operationalize patient support programs that facilitate patient access, reimbursement support, affordability assistance, adherence services, and patient education. Lead patient support launch readiness planning and execution to ensure all capabilities, infrastructure, technology platforms, vendors, processes, and reporting are established prior to commercialization. Establish and oversee relationships with patient support hubs, pharmacies, copay administrators, field reimbursement partners, and other patient services vendors. Lead vendor selection, RFP processes, contract negotiations, governance structures, and ongoing performance management to ensure service excellence and operational effectiveness. Develop patient support strategies that address access barriers and support a seamless experience for patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and office staff. Partner closely with Market Access, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Legal, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to align patient support initiatives with broader organizational objectives. Establish policies, procedures, quality standards, escalation pathways, and compliance controls to support effective program operations and regulatory compliance. Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analytics related to patient onboarding, reimbursement outcomes, affordability utilization, adherence, operational performance, and patient experience. Identify patient access trends, reimbursement challenges, and market dynamics and translate insights into actionable recommendations that enhance patient support programs and business performance. Ensure all patient support activities are conducted in accordance with applicable healthcare laws, regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Serve as the internal subject matter expert on patient services, patient access, and reimbursement support, providing strategic guidance to senior leadership and cross-functional teams. Build scalable patient support capabilities that can support future product launches, indications, and organizational growth. Lead budget planning and financial oversight for patient support programs, vendors, and service models. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, patient satisfaction, provider experience, and program effectiveness. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in patient services, market access, reimbursement, commercial operations, pharmacy, healthcare services, or related pharmaceutical and biotechnology functions, including experience supporting pre-launch planning and commercial launch execution. Significant experience designing, implementing, and leading patient support service programs within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. Demonstrated experience leading patient services strategy and execution, launch readiness activities, and commercialization support for a successful pharmaceutical or biotechnology product launch. Deep understanding of patient access, reimbursement processes, prior authorization support, appeals processes, specialty pharmacy operations, patient affordability programs, and hub services. Strong knowledge of U.S. healthcare reimbursement systems, payer dynamics, specialty distribution channels, and patient access barriers. Proven experience selecting, managing, and overseeing patient services vendors, hub providers, copay program administrators, specialty pharmacies, and other strategic service partners. Demonstrated success building and scaling capabilities, processes, infrastructure, and operating models within a growing commercial organization. Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution and operational oversight. Strong analytical skills with experience leveraging data and performance metrics to drive business decisions and continuous improvement. Exceptional cross-functional leadership, collaboration, communication, and influencing skills. Proven ability to lead complex initiatives and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups. Proven ability to operate with urgency and discipline in a launch environment, navigating ambiguity while driving cross-functional alignment and accountability Strong business acumen and experience presenting recommendations and strategic insights to senior leadership. Builder mindset with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach and a demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. High degree of organizational effectiveness, attention to detail, and commitment to operational excellence. NAP has adopted an on-demand workplace philosophy. This remote role requires in-person attendance at the NAP office in the Philadelphia area based on business needs and work requirements rather than a set office schedule, with increased frequency during commercial launch planning and launch-related activities. Travel is required based on business needs, including attendance at internal meetings, vendor governance reviews, industry events, and customer engagements. Salary and Benefits: We offer a competitive base salary, annual bonus, and long-term incentives.
