As the world’s largest business organization, we believe in building a future that gives everyone the opportunity to pursue a better tomorrow. We make it our job today–and every day–to build the strongest relationships possible among the American people, business leaders, and elected officials in Washington, D.C., state capitals, and countries around the globe. For them and the businesses we represent, the U.S. Chamber is a trusted advocate and partner. We are driven by the pursuit of innovation and partnership and hold ourselves to the highest standards. Our commitment to our members is matched only by our commitment to our employees. As part of our team, we will support your long-term career development while delivering relevant learning opportunities. We will empower you to lead, develop deep expertise, and find new approaches to solving the toughest challenges. Position Overview: Working with the senior vice president for Asia, the ideal candidate will oversee the Chamber’s work in the Republic of Korea. The candidate will engage with and provide analytical and advocacy tools to members with interests in Northeast Asia, concentrating on maintaining strong relations with key government and nongovernmental interlocutors and solving market access and trade restraint issues. The candidate will hold and conduct programs for members and key policy leaders, stakeholders, and intellectual drivers of influence in the region. Responsibilities: Maintain and expand relationships with government interlocutors, concentrating on key departments in Seoul and the Korean Embassy in Washington, D.C. Provide members with critical information and analysis on key business developments in the region. Provide strategic thinking on processes and programs designed to further member interests in the region. Conduct in-person and remote program opportunities to engage with key decision-makers in the region. Manage a small but resourceful team and coordinate with policy and other resources in the Chamber. Serve as a public face for the Chamber and its work in the region. Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree preferred. At least 15 years of experience working with corporate interests in Asia, with a particular focus on South Korea. Deep knowledge of the U.S. trade and economic policymaking environment and network in the region. Experience working in the U.S. government in either the legislative or executive branches on Korean issues. Extensive writing experience. Strong service orientation, excellent communication skills, and executive presence. The salary range for this position is $147,923.00 to $180,000.00. The actual salary paid for this position will vary based on market data, an applicant’s qualifications, relevant degrees, certifications, and other factors. Our full-time employees are eligible for benefits, including health care, vision, dental, retirement, and paid leave. We provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws. #LI-Hybrid
