Executive Officer, Deputy Secretary Office, Revenue NSW

Grade: DCS Clerk Grade - 11/12

Duration: Temporary until 31 March 2027 with a potential for extension or becoming ongoing

Salary - $154,231 - $178,369 + super

We’re seeking a dynamic and highly organised Executive Officer to join the Deputy Secretary’s Office, supporting both the Deputy Secretary and the broader Revenue NSW Executive Leadership Team.

As Executive Officer, you’ll play a central role in managing the day-to-day operations of the Deputy Secretary’s Office, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, embedding key initiatives, and supporting the organisation to navigate complex challenges with clarity and confidence.

If successful, you will

  • Prepare and coordinate high-quality briefings, reports, submissions and correspondence to support timely and informed executive decision making.
  • Act as a key point of contact for the Deputy Secretary’s Office, liaising with internal and external stakeholders and coordinating timely, accurate responses.
  • Drive and coordinate strategic and operational planning, monitor progress and performance, and provide clear reporting to support informed decision-making.
  • Identify and respond to emerging issues head-on, resolving challenges quickly and confidently to minimise risk and minimise organisational impact.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of enterprise-level projects, helping shape and deliver on strategic priorities.
  • Identify and implement improvements to systems and processes to increase efficiency and ensuring high-quality outcomes.

What We’re Looking For
Someone who is:

  • Strategic and outcomes-focused, with demonstrated experience in delivering plans that move the dial.
  • A confident and influential communicator who engages clearly and diplomatically with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Able to exercise sound judgement and remain calm and composed under pressure when navigating complex, sensitive or time critical matters.
  • Exceptionally organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and delivery high-quality work in tight timeframes.
  • A natural leader or influencer, with experience in guiding teams and driving change.
  • Experience in providing high-level secretariat support, including bringing structure and clarity to executive meetings.
