Executive & Personal Assistant to Two Founders (Hybrid | Split, Croatia)

I'm searching for an Executive Assistant / Operations Associate based in (or near) Split, Croatia to work in a hybrid role that combines in-person and remote work.

This isn't a typical executive assistant position. It's an opportunity to become a trusted partner to two founders who care deeply about building organizations that improve people's lives.

Initially, you'll split your time between supporting me as I build Modulo, an education company reimagining how families learn, and supporting my mom, founder of a medical school admissions advising organization that has helped thousands of students become physicians over the past 30+ years. Over time, the role will gradually evolve into becoming her primary executive operations partner as she transitions toward retirement.

Some days you'll be organizing meetings, following up with team members, researching AI tools, documenting processes, or making sure important projects don't fall through the cracks.

Other days might look completely different.

You might help me organize a community meetup in Split, research and book the best specialists or doctors, navigate Croatian bureaucracy, redesign parts of my apartment, compare furniture options, run errands together, drive to appointments, research homeschool teachers for families, or simply work alongside me for a few hours to help me stay focused on a big project.

For my mom, you'll help bring calm and structure to a busy organization—organizing priorities, managing projects in Basecamp, coordinating with staff, scheduling meetings, researching medical schools, tracking deadlines, improving systems, and gradually taking ownership of more operational responsibilities so she can focus on the work only she can do.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has outstanding written and spoken English

• Is exceptionally organized and follows through

• Learns technology quickly (AI tools, Notion, Slack, Basecamp, etc.)

• Is warm, discreet, emotionally intelligent, and professional

• Enjoys solving problems independently

• Loves building systems that make life easier

• Doesn't mind switching between strategic work and practical, everyday tasks

I care much more about curiosity, judgment, initiative, and kindness than whether you've held the exact title before.
