Your role: At Zanders, we are continuing to grow our Risk Advisory Group (RAG) in Croatia. We are looking to hire a Consultant to join our expanding risk consulting team. This role is ideal for someone at the start of their professional journey who is eager to build a strong technical foundation in credit risk modelling, risk data and analytics, and advisory consulting in an international environment. As part of our Risk Advisory Group (RAG), you will support client projects in financial risk management, risk data and analytics. Under the guidance of senior colleagues, your responsibilities will include: Assisting in the development and validation of risk models and reviewing risk frameworks for financial and/or non-financial risks; Supporting quantitative analysis using programming languages, and learning to apply econometric, machine learning and AI techniques; Contributing to reviews of how clients use financial technology and helping identify best practice improvements; Completing assigned project tasks in a timely manner, supporting client deliverables, and contributing to analytical reports under senior supervision. Skills to be successful: 0–2 years of experience or relevant internship/academic exposure in risk, finance, or a related quantitative field; Bachelor's or Master's degree in mathematics, physics, statistics, financial mathematics, actuarial sciences, econometrics, computer science or engineering; Basic understanding of credit risk concepts; familiarity with IFRS 9 or IRB models is a plus but not required; Curiosity about financial regulation (CRD, CRR, EBA Guidelines) and emerging trends in machine learning and AI; Strong interest in risk quantification and financial markets; Working knowledge of Python, R or SQL — academic or personal projects count; Good communication skills in English.
