Achev’s latest Impact Report: www.Achev.ca The Empowering Newcomers for Entrepreneurship (ENfE) program supports newcomers and racialized individuals in Ontario who are interested in exploring entrepreneurship and self-employment as viable pathways to economic success. The Facilitator and Outreach Liaison is responsible for recruiting participants, conducting information sessions, facilitating virtual and in-person workshops, building and maintaining community partnerships, and providing ongoing support to clients throughout their entrepreneurial journey. Position Type: Full Time Temporary This role is hybrid at this time – working a minimum of 2 days in office. Duties and Responsibilities Promote the ENfE program and recruit eligible participants through presentations, networking events, community engagement activities, digital outreach, and referral partnerships. Conduct participant intake activities, including registration, eligibility screening, onboarding, scheduling, and ongoing follow-up. Plan and facilitate program information sessions, workshops, training sessions, and group discussions in both virtual and in-person settings. Coordinate and support the logistical delivery of program events, networking activities, mentorship sessions, guest speaker engagements, and graduation ceremonies. Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, settlement agencies, educational institutions, and other stakeholders to support participant recruitment and program growth. Provide participant support by connecting clients with mentors, business advisors, and relevant community resources. Maintain accurate records of recruitment, participant engagement, case notes, attendance, and program outcomes using organizational databases and reporting systems. Prepare and distribute program materials, presentations, correspondence, meeting minutes, and participant communications. Assist the Project Manager with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports related to outreach, recruitment, participant engagement, and program performance indicators. Able to travel within the GTHA for stakeholder meetings, events, and conferences. Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends based on program needs. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Project Manager . Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Community Development, Social Services, Adult Education, or related field. Minimum two (2) years of experience facilitating workshops, training sessions, information sessions, and group learning activities in virtual and in-person environments, supported by strong presentation, facilitation, public speaking, and communication skills in English. Minimum two (2) years of experience supporting entrepreneurs through self-employment advisory services, small business development, or entrepreneur support programs. Minimum two (2) years of experience conducting outreach, participant recruitment, and community engagement activities. Strong understanding of barriers and opportunities experienced by newcomers, immigrants, and racialized communities pursuing entrepreneurship in Canada. Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with community organizations and stakeholders. Experience assessing client eligibility, maintaining case files, and meeting program performance targets. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with professionalism, discretion, and integrity. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, CRM databases, and social media platforms. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
