Job Description
This is a remote position.
₱55,000 – ₱60,000 per month | 100% work from home | Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Philippine time) | Full-time, permanent employee
When a leak is reported in a strata building, someone has to work out what is actually going on. Which lots are affected. Whether it needs a plumber, a roofer or a waterproofing specialist. Whether one quote is enough or three are needed. And what to tell the owners while it is being sorted out. That is this role.
You will manage the day-to-day maintenance of a portfolio of Australian strata properties, working fully remote from the Philippines on Australian business hours. Every job is yours from the moment it is reported through investigation, quoting, approval, coordination and completion — plumbing, electrical, roofing, waterproofing, leaks, painting, carpentry, glazing, doors, access systems and general building repairs.
This suits someone who already knows how buildings fail and can decide what needs to happen next without waiting to be told.
You will be choosing which contractor to engage, comparing their quotes and putting a clear recommendation in front of strata managers and committees. It is decision-making work rather than passing messages between contractors and clients, and it builds the kind of Australian strata and building knowledge that stays with you.
What you'll be doing
• Reviewing incoming maintenance requests across a portfolio of strata properties and deciding the appropriate next step
• Working out when an issue needs further investigation, a specialist opinion or additional quotations
• Choosing the right contractor or trade for the job, and coordinating internal technicians, contractors and consultants
• Obtaining, reviewing and comparing contractor quotations, then presenting your recommendation
• Owning each job through access coordination, scheduling, follow-up and completion — including reviewing photos, reports and contractor documentation before you close it
• Keeping strata managers, committees, owners, tenants and building managers informed throughout
• Identifying urgent and safety-related issues and making sure they are escalated and actioned
• Supporting planned and preventative maintenance, and keeping accurate records of works, quotes and contractor communication
Requirements
• At least 2 years of experience as a Facilities Manager, Building Manager or in a similar property or facilities role
• At least 2 years working with Australian strata properties, owners corporations or bodies corporate
• A practical understanding of building maintenance and the different trades — you can look at a problem and know roughly who needs to fix it
• Experience managing contractors, quotations and repair works
• Confidence dealing directly with strata managers, committees, owners, residents and contractors
• Strong written and verbal English, and the organisation to keep multiple buildings and contractors moving at once
• Sound judgement when prioritising urgent, safety-related and routine maintenance
• Availability to work Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Philippine time
Nice to have
• Experience assessing defects remotely — from photos, written descriptions and contractor reports rather than site visits
• Experience with job management, field service, strata management or property management software
• Involvement in planned or preventative maintenance programmes and compliance servicing
Benefits
• ₱55,000 – ₱60,000 per month
• 100% work from home
• Full-time, permanent Philippine employment with Offshore 24/7, supporting an established Australian business
• Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM PHT
• Complete WFH equipment provided — company laptop and all equipment required for your role
• HMO coverage from Day 1
• 20 days paid leave per year — 15 annual leave + 5 sick leave, accruing from Day 1
• 13th month pay
• Government-mandated benefits
• Annual rate and performance review
• Comprehensive training and ongoing professional development
• Regular staff events and team activities
Before you apply: this role needs at least 2 years in facilities or building management, at least 2 years working with Australian strata, and a real working knowledge of the trades behind common building repairs. If that is you, we would like to hear from you.
