Is this job info correct?

Location: Date Posted: 1 Sept 2026 Contract type: Work Type: Hybrid Part Time / Full Time: Full Time Facilities Operations Manager 📍 Location: National (with travel). 💼 Contract Type: Permanent 💰 Salary: 40K plus 3K car allowance Please note that this a UK wide role but the suitable candidate should be based within a commutable distance from any one of our 36 clinics across the UK. Regular attendance in Head Office (St Albans) and site visits is required. Diaverum is looking for a Facilities Operations Manager to play a key operational role in maintaining safe, compliant, reliable and well-managed healthcare environments across our UK estate. This is an opportunity for an experienced facilities professional to move beyond simply coordinating maintenance. You will influence contractor performance, compliance, service quality and operational resilience across a national healthcare estate, working closely with the Head of Facilities and a wide range of clinical and operational stakeholders. Healthcare facilities management is different. The quality and reliability of the environment directly supports patients, clinical teams and colleagues. Fire safety, statutory compliance, utilities, maintenance, cleanliness and building services all need to work effectively, every day. Your role will be to make sure our facilities services do exactly that—safely, consistently and with the right level of governance and accountability. Take operational ownership of FM service performance across a multisite UK healthcare estate. Build strong, professional relationships with contractors while confidently challenging poor performance. Strengthen statutory compliance, audit readiness and facilities governance. Identify opportunities to improve service quality, resilience and value for money. Work closely with the Head of Facilities and senior operational stakeholders, gaining broader exposure to healthcare estates management. Help develop consistent FM standards and ways of working across Diaverum’s sites. Property maintenance, repairs and building services. Fire safety service provision, including fire doors, compartmentation, fire dampers, alarms, fire-fighting equipment and emergency lighting. Domestic cleaning, feminine hygiene, grounds and associated soft FM services. Water, electricity and gas supplier and contract management. Pest control and keyholding/out-of-hours access. Contractor mobilisation, SLAs, KPIs, audits, corrective actions and contract renewals. Asset registers, statutory records, compliance evidence and audit trails. Facilities risk management, RAMS review and hot-work permits. Supporting inspections, audits and regulatory engagement. During your first 12 months, you will be expected to help us: Improve contractor accountability and performance. Strengthen visibility of statutory compliance and remedial actions. Improve the quality and consistency of facilities records and asset information. Reduce repeat service failures and improve response to operational issues. Identify practical opportunities to improve value for money. Support a safe, reliable and well-maintained environment for patients and colleagues. Develop effective working relationships with clinic teams, suppliers and internal stakeholders. We are looking for a proactive, organised and commercially aware facilities professional who is comfortable working across multiple sites and managing competing priorities. Experience in facilities, estates, property or building services support. Strong contractor and supplier management experience. Experience coordinating planned and reactive maintenance and maintaining compliance records. Experience working in a structured, policy-driven or regulated environment. Good understanding of facilities compliance and a willingness to develop healthcare-specific knowledge. Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills. Confidence to challenge suppliers, escalate risks and drive corrective action. Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek advice or escalate. You do not need to be an expert in every FM discipline. We are looking for strong operational FM capability, sound contractor-management skills and the ability to learn. Experience within healthcare, the NHS, private healthcare, care, education, life sciences or another regulated environment would be particularly valuable. A Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience in Facilities Management, Property/Estates or Building Services would be advantageous. Relevant training or qualifications such as IWFM, IOSH, NEBOSH, fire safety or water safety training are also welcomed. Diaverum supports professional development through on-the-job learning and access to its in-house education programme, d Academy. This role provides scope to broaden your experience across healthcare estates, compliance, contract management and operational FM. Professional curiosity and a willingness to keep learning. An organised approach to managing multiple workstreams. Commercial awareness and good supplier-management judgement. Strong written and verbal communication. A practical, solutions-focused approach. Commitment to patient, colleague and contractor safety. Integrity, accountability and the confidence to raise concerns when standards are not met. Diaverum is a leading global provider of renal care services, committed to enhancing the quality of life for people with chronic kidney disease. You will join an organisation where facilities management is an important part of supporting safe and effective clinical services. Meaningful work supporting healthcare environments. National scope and exposure to a diverse estate. Opportunity to influence supplier performance and service improvement. Access to professional development and d Academy. Close working relationship with the Head of Facilities and operational leadership. Competent – Delivering results while prioritising patient and employee safety. Passionate – Fostering genuine relationships and driving results with respect. Inspiring – Encouraging innovation, collaboration and transformative care. The role is home based with regular attendance in the St Albans office and requires regular UK travel. Participation in the national on-call rota is an essential requirement and includes evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis. Diaverum UK is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in its workforce. All positions at Diaverum are subject to a satisfactory DBS check as part of the recruitment process. Diaverum reserves the right to close the application process early if sufficient applications are received. If you are an experienced FM professional looking for a role where your operational expertise, commercial judgement and commitment to safety can make a genuine difference, we would like to hear from you.
