About the Company
CareRunway helps families plan for the cost and logistics of caring for an aging parent. Its Care Runway calculator looks at things like a parent’s savings, income, home value, and local care costs to help families understand how long their resources may cover different types of care.
Families also come to CareRunway through free tools and resources covering topics like Medicare, fall risk, memory concerns, and what to do after a hospital or rehab stay. When a family needs more support, CareRunway helps connect them with the right care provider or specialist.
About the Role
CareRunway is hiring a Family Care Advisor to speak with families navigating care decisions for an aging parent.
Most of the people you speak with will be adult children trying to figure out what to do for a parent. They may be dealing with a recent fall, a hospital or rehab discharge, memory concerns, or simply realizing that their parent needs more support.
Your job is to call them, understand what is going on, qualify their needs, and help move them to the right next step.
Most of your conversations will be with warm leads who have already asked for help or scheduled a call. We’re looking for someone who can build trust, ask the right questions, and guide families toward a clear next step in a thoughtful, consultative way. You’ll also be responsible for following up when someone does not answer and making sure interested families do not get lost along the way.
You won’t be expected to give medical, legal, or financial advice. Your role is to understand the family’s situation at a high level and connect them with the right care provider or specialist for the next step.
Responsibilities
- Call families who have scheduled an appointment or requested information.
- Ask questions to understand what is happening with their parent, how urgent the situation is, and what kind of help they may need.
- Qualify each conversation and connect the family with the appropriate CareRunway partner or next step.
- Follow up with people who miss their scheduled call, do not answer, or are not ready to make a decision yet.
- Keep track of your leads, follow-ups, and call outcomes in the CRM.
- Work toward clear activity and conversion goals.
- Handle sensitive conversations with patience and good judgment.
- Occasionally help with outreach to assisted living communities, nursing homes, or other care providers to set up meetings for CareRunway’s founder.
- Share recurring questions or feedback from families with the team.
Requirements
- Experience speaking with US customers by phone in healthcare, senior care, Medicare, insurance, or a similar service.

- Strong spoken and written English.
- Comfortable asking questions, qualifying a lead, and moving a conversation toward a clear next step.
- Comfortable following up more than once when someone does not answer or is not ready yet.
- Good listening skills and the ability to stay calm in emotional or stressful conversations.
- Organized with follow-ups and comfortable keeping accurate notes in a CRM.
- Comfortable working toward measurable sales or conversion goals.
- Able to work hours aligned with the US Pacific Time zone, including a rotating Saturday.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in senior living, home care, healthcare intake, Medicare, elder care, or another senior-focused service.

- B2B appointment-setting experience.
