The Role

If you share our passion for fashion photography and retouching and are excited about working with the largest fashion brands and online retailers globally, this is a unique opportunity!

The Fashion Retouching Specialist serves as the bridge between client creative teams and Pixelz production, working as an extension of their creative team. You'll understand client retouching needs and communicate requirements to ensure consistent quality. You'll work closely with the Production team and report to the Head of Operations. This role is key to supporting high-end brands with complex, subjective requirements by bridging creative direction and scalable production.

This role is primarily based in Barcelona (Spain), with flexible travel or temporary stays in Hanoi (Vietnam) to support close collaboration with both our clients and production teams.

TOP 4 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


Understanding Customer Aesthetics


  • Define and document client-specific aesthetic standards
  • Align directly with client creative / studio teams
  • Translate subjective feedback into actionable production guidelines
  • Validate quality beyond technical correctness (brand alignment)
  • Serve as the key link between client creative teams and production, ensuring aesthetic expectations are clearly defined, translated, and consistently executed.


Quality Assurance and Detail Orientation


  • Perform rigorous ad hoc quality checks on all images before delivery, ensuring they meet our high standards and each customer's specific requirements.
  • Attention to detail is crucial, as this role requires identifying and resolving quality inconsistencies across production outputs.
  • Ensure consistency at scale across production teams


Proactiveness in Operational Improvement


  • The role requires a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement within the production process.
  • This includes suggesting enhancements to workflows, technology, and techniques based on customer feedback, industry trends, and their own observations to continually elevate the quality of our output.


Training and Development


  • Developing and delivering training materials and sessions to our production team will be a key responsibility.
  • This is to ensure the team stays up to date on the latest retouching techniques, understands new customer requirements, and maintains a trajectory of growth and improvement in their skills and efficiency.


WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE


The Fashion Retouching Specialist is expected to collaborate with the Production, Quality Assurance, and Customer Success teams to achieve core objectives for the client, including:

  • Improve first-time approval rates
  • Achieve high client satisfaction
  • Reduce the turnaround time
  • Improve Pilot Success Rate and Revenue Recognition through successful Onboarding


Requirements & Experience


  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and CameraRaw Editors
  • Experience with photo production in fashion/eCommerce/creative studio environment
  • Strong retouching skills, including color correction, beauty retouching, and composites
  • Technical understanding of image formats, resolution requirements, and color profiles
  • Experience with image batch processing and automation workflows, not just actions
  • Knowledge of the fashion industry and eCommerce visual standards
  • Experience with digital asset management and delivery systems
  • Proven ability to work in fast-paced environments and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and cross-functional team management skills
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, self-driven, and results-oriented with critical thinking abilities
  • Excellent communication skills; performs well under pressure and with tight deadlines.
  • Language requirements;
  • Spanish and/or Italian (to support our target markets)
  • English: Business professional level
  • Willingness to travel periodically to the client locations and our production in Vietnam, with a minimum travel commitment of approximately 3 months per year
