Quiroga Law Office, PLLC is seeking a Federal Immigration Litigation Attorney to join our growing team. This is a nationwide remote position focused on federal immigration litigation, with an emphasis on matters before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and related federal court proceedings.

This role is ideal for an attorney with strong litigation experience, excellent legal writing skills, and a commitment to advocating for immigrants and their families.

We are a law firm for immigrants by immigrants. We represent clients nationwide in matters involving asylum, citizenship, family immigration, non-immigrant visas, deportation defense, Temporary Protected Status, green cards, waivers, consular processing, and federal litigation.

About the Role

As a Federal Immigration Litigation Attorney, you will handle complex federal immigration litigation matters, develop legal strategies, draft persuasive filings, and help lead cases through federal court and appellate proceedings.

You will work closely with firm leadership and will be supported by your own dedicated legal production team. This structure allows you to focus on high-level litigation strategy, legal analysis, briefing, advocacy, and case direction.



Key Responsibilities

  • Handle federal immigration litigation and appellate matters.
  • Work on cases involving the appellate Circuit courts and related federal court proceedings.
  • Draft legal briefs, motions, petitions, and other federal court filings.
  • Conduct advanced legal research and develop case strategy.
  • Prepare for hearings, oral arguments, and other federal court proceedings as needed.
  • Manage multiple complex litigation matters and deadlines.
  • Provide strategic legal direction to internal production teams.
  • Collaborate with firm leadership to ensure timely and effective case development.
  • Maintain high standards of legal writing, accuracy, and advocacy.



Qualifications

  • J.D. degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association.
  • Active bar license and good standing in any U.S. state.
  • At least 5 years of post-J.D. litigation experience.
  • Federal litigation experience required.
  • Experience with immigration litigation, appellate litigation, petitions for review, or federal court practice is highly preferred.
  • Experience with Circuit matters is strongly preferred.
  • Admission to the Ninth Circuit is preferred, or willingness and ability to obtain admission after hire.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong understanding of federal procedure, litigation strategy, and courtroom protocol.
  • Ability to manage complex cases, competing deadlines, and high-stakes legal matters.
  • Excellent communication, judgment, and advocacy skills.
  • A writing sample consisting of a legal brief or comparable legal writing authored by the applicant is required.
