JOB SUMMARY The Field and Events Manager is a high-impact role responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing Schellman's live and virtual events—including client events and industry conferences, along with internal sales and marketing event initiatives. In this role, you will own the end-to-end event strategy, ensuring every touchpoint reflects Schellman's brand and drives measurable outreach, pipeline, and engagement outcomes. As a driver in this role, you will oversee event execution and partner closely with Marketing, Sales, and external vendors to bring Schellman's presence to life in the market. Key Responsibilities Event Strategy & Execution – Develop and implement an event strategy that supports Schellman's revenue, operational, and outreach objectives across trade shows, conferences, webinars, and client-facing events. This includes building and executing against a metric and analysis plan to measure impact, effectiveness, and return on investment. Venue & Channel Evaluation – Gather and evaluate meeting or event requirements, researching and recommending venues or channels that meet the physical, functional, and brand requirements of each event. Vendor Management – Build and maintain a reliable vendor network, negotiating and managing contracts for catering, promotional resources, AV/technology, and other event support services. Logistics Coordination – Oversee all pre-event activities, including attendee registration, transportation, accommodations, meals, and technology setup, ensuring seamless execution from planning through onsite delivery. Rehearsals & Technical Readiness – Conduct rehearsals and system checks of all equipment and connectivity to guarantee flawless execution of live and virtual events. Budget Ownership – Manage event budgets, ensuring events stay within cost projections, and prepare periodic management reports on spend and performance. Post-Event Analysis – Conduct post-event evaluations to assess effectiveness, gather insights, and drive continuous improvement in future event planning. Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Subject Matter Experts to align event initiatives with broader go-to-market goals and ensure consistent messaging and branding. What You Bring Demonstrated event strategy including ROI analysis, lead tracking, and building and measuring reportable metrics. Proven Event Management Expertise – Track record of successfully planning and executing both live and virtual meetings/events, ideally within a professional services, technology, or B2B environment. Vendor & Budget Management – Demonstrated experience negotiating vendor contracts and managing event budgets to stay within cost projections. Detail-Oriented Execution – Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent events, timelines, and logistics without sacrificing quality. Technology Proficiency – Comfort with event management platforms, virtual event technology, registration systems, and standard office/collaboration tools. Entrepreneurial Mindset – Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and can adapt event strategy to evolving business needs. Travel Readiness – Willingness to travel as needed to support onsite events and vendor relationships.
