Field Applications Engineer (Early Career) – Chennai

Job Description and Responsibilities

  • Technical expert for Tektronix Instruments including Oscilloscopes, Arbitrary Waveform Generators, Source Measure Units, Bidirectional Power Supplies, Battery Testers, Cell Impedance Analyzers and their applications.
  • Technical expert on Power Measurements including Power Converter Testing, Motor Drive Analysis, Power Quality Analysis, EMI/EMC, Spectrum Analysis, EV Battery Test, Fuel Cell Test, Energy Storage Applications, Regenerative load applications.

  • Responsible for Technical Consultancy in the assigned product portfolio and market segments.

  • Establish strategic technical partnerships and build close relationships with key customers to be their trusted advisor.
  • Technically driving the sales cycle from prospecting to customer presentations to proposal development and closure.
  • Responsible for delivering trainings, and providing applications support to solve challenging customer problems

  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and tradeshows to build brand presence and cultivate new relationships.

  • Capture Voice of Customer and share feedback on product enhancements with internal teams.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Phd/Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering with specialization in power electronics.

  • Industry/Research Experience of 2-8 years.

  • Strong knowledge of Power Electronics fundamentals, Circuits and Sic/Gan Devices.

  • Knowledge in programming languages such as C & Python is a plus.

  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving & analytical skills with the ability to translate technical information into compelling customer value propositions.

  • Highly organized, self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced sales environment.

  • Excellent documentation and time management skills.
  • Self-Motivation and self-learning approach with ability to work independently.

  • Ability to travel for key customers meetings.

  • Position will be based in Chennai.
