Field Business Development Representative Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and outgoing professional to help grow a new business initiative by building relationships with local organizations and business owners. In this field-based role, you will identify prospective partners, educate them on program opportunities, qualify interest, and guide them through the enrollment process. This position offers a blend of business development, relationship management, community outreach, and event support. Key Responsibilities Develop relationships with local businesses and organizations within an assigned territory. Conduct in-person outreach to introduce partnership opportunities and generate interest. Qualify prospective partners and guide them through the onboarding or application process. Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and pipeline progress within a CRM system. Support planning and execution of community events, networking opportunities, and informational sessions. Build relationships with local business groups, chambers of commerce, and community organizations. Track and manage leads, referrals, and customer interactions. Collaborate closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to achieve growth objectives. Qualifications 1+ year of experience in sales, business development, account management, customer service, or a related field. Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Experience utilizing CRM platforms and managing customer pipelines. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Comfortable engaging with new people and conducting in-person outreach. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business technology tools. Preferred Qualifications Field sales, outside sales, or territory management experience. Experience with community outreach, event coordination, or partnership development. Experience in lead generation, customer acquisition, or account growth. Experience working with Salesforce or other CRM systems. Work Environment This role requires you to work remotely and in the field four times a week, with Fridays designated as an administrative day. The territory covers an area centered around Grand Forks, ND, within 30 miles of Grand Forks, ND, Grafton, ND, and 20 miles around Devil's Lake, ND. Mileage is reimbursed at 0.76 cents per mile, and a $50 monthly phone expense is provided. There is potential for extension up to two years, and the role offers uncapped commission opportunities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Fargo, ND. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
