The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Own technical sales opportunities from first discovery conversation through signed contract. Work directly with customers to turn open-ended needs into scoped, priced technical engagements, validating ideas with hands-on prototypes along the way.

What you'll do

- Take over qualified inbound opportunities and lead all customer conversations through to closing.

- Turn loosely defined customer problems into clearly scoped technical outcomes with defined pricing.

- Build proofs of concept and prototypes to demonstrate solutions to customers on major cloud and AI platforms.

- Write statements of work, price engagements and close deals.

- Hand off scoped work to a delivery team, then move on to the next opportunity.

- Travel to customer sites across North America.

What we're looking for

- A strong technical foundation and the ability to hold conversations with enterprise architects across different technology stacks.

- Cloud experience, ideally with AWS.

- A background in hands-on technical work that involved regular direct contact with customers, for example in a solutions, forward-facing or early-stage engineering position.

- Experience owning technical pre-sales, including discovery, solution architecture, pricing, prototypes and closing.

- A BS in computer science or a STEM-related field.

- Confident, personable communication that turns ambiguous conversations into specific, concrete outcomes.

- Comfort with high ambiguity and the ability to translate broad requirements into detailed technical scope and pricing.

- Talent for making technical topics understandable and relevant to business audiences without an engineering background.

- Willingness to travel up to about 20% of the time within the United States.

- Must be based in the US.

Compensation and benefits

- Base salary: USD 185,000 to 220,000 per year

- Uncapped commission
