Is this job info correct?

Job Summary: This role is for a marketer who thinks in logistics, strategy, and brand experience in equal measure. Booking a sponsorship is the easy part. The work is building environments where Neumo's sales and account teams can generate, accelerate, and close deals with the finance directors, county clerks, court administrators, recorders, DMV leaders, and agency CIOs who decide how government serves its constituents.  You will own end-to-end execution of Neumo's national event strategy across the full product portfolio — Revenue Compliance, Justice, Public Administration, Payments, DMV, and Platform — from large-scale government and industry conferences to intimate, high-touch customer gatherings.  You will do and you will train in this role. This role requires both strategic team leadership skills to build and align the events strategy with business unit leaders, sales leaders, and customer success team leads. This person also needs to hire and train a super effective specialist to run all logistical elements of an event with near-zero error rate.    Public sector selling rewards presence and patience. Agencies evaluate in the open, procure on published timelines, and lean heavily on peer reference. Events are where that trust gets built — and this role owns that surface.  Duties and Responsibilities : Strategy, Planning, and Leadership   Drive the national event strategy, leading planning and execution of Neumo's participation in large-scale government and industry conferences, associations, and Neumo customer events.    Set the annual event plan and decide in which events to invest resources and which do not from a marketing and business perspective, balancing the need to drive new business and protect and nurture existing relationships.    Launch annual customer conferences (planned for Q2 2027), overseeing registration, partners, supplier contracts, and overall experience to achieve renewal and upsell goals across all customer segments.   Build and lead the team by hiring and developing an Events Specialist who can manage the entire workflow around an event flawlessly and understands the strategy, goals, and how to measure the impact of each event and is able to drive value from events.    Event Execution and Results  Hold final accountability – the buck stops with you for venue, booth, shipping, staffing, and collateral logistics across the event calendar, with zero missed vendor cutoffs.   Own the Event Management – ensure accurate board data using stage-gated templates, ensuring every active event runs on a standard approach and look to improve the process and flow with the adoption of software and building of AI skills to support the team.   Be the owner of event performance and ROI -- report on event performance based on goals and types and by product, territory, and business unit.   Oversee the budget — exercise discretion and independent judgment over a significant national field marketing budget, ensuring every dollar is tracked and optimized.    Report on revenue impact — partner with Sales and Marketing Operations to track lead flow and deliver post-event reporting that connects event activity to sales pipeline and closed-won revenue.   Drive leads that convert – create a high conversion lead-to-opportunity flow from events to maximize cost per lead, cost per opportunity, and ROI on closed-won deals .   Set the standard — lead Neumo's largest-scale event and partner marketing projects, and standardize how the company approaches all event types.   Serve as escalation point with vendors and venues and ensure lead handoff and post-show recaps reach Sales.   Sales and Business Unit Partnership  Effectively partner with Sales Development and Inside Sales team to drive action on leads to convert booth meetings into discovery and demo calls.  Gather sales and business unit leader needs to ensure ongoing alignment with key business and territory strategies  Education and Experience: 5+ years of experience in field marketing, event marketing, or event management, spanning both strategic planning and hands-on execution.  Experience in Public sector, govtech, SaaS, or other regulated-industry experience is a strong plus, given how compliance-conscious and relationship-driven government buyers tend to be.  2+ years of people management experience, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and developing team members into strong independent contributors.  A track record in a high-velocity environment — you've served as a team leader or key strategic contributor on a team responsible for 100+ events a year, and can speak to how you scaled process without sacrificing quality.  Experience partnering cross-functionally with Sales, business unit leaders, and Customer Success to align event strategy with pipeline and retention goals.  History of owning a meaningful budget with full accountability for tracking spend, forecasting costs, and demonstrating ROI to finance and marketing leadership.  Experience standing up or scaling a flagship customer conference or similarly large-scale event is a plus, given the planned Q2 2027 launch.  Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Salesforce reporting and dashboarding — able to build and maintain views that segment events by type and demonstrate value across each.  Project management — proven ability to run complex, multi-workstream projects using tools like Monday.com, with rigorous attention to timelines and vendor cutoffs.  CRM and campaign management fluency — hands-on comfort with Salesforce, HubSpot, or comparable systems for lead tracking and reporting.  Executive presence — a poised, confident communicator with senior internal leadership and external government stakeholders, including agency executives and elected officials.  Communication range — equally skilled writing a compelling event invitation, briefing a booth-staffing team, and presenting ROI data to stakeholders.  Vendor and budget management — a capable negotiator who manages vendor relationships and contracts while protecting margin.  Analytical mindset — comfortable translating raw event data into a clear narrative about cost per lead, cost per opportunity, and pipeline impact.  Team leadership and coaching — able to hire, train, and develop a direct report into a highly effective, independent operator.  Attention to detail — near-zero error rate across logistics, especially for time-sensitive vendor cutoffs and shipping windows.  Adaptability — comfortable managing shifting priorities and last-minute changes typical of a national, high-volume event calendar Work Environment: Extensive national travel is required, including multi-day trips to conferences, tradeshows, and customer events; some weekend travel should be expected during peak event season. Standard remote/office-based computer work (email, dashboards, budget tracking, vendor coordination) punctuated by on-site event execution. On-site event days may involve extended standing, booth setup and breakdown, and lifting event materials such as signage, collateral, and booth components, generally under 40 lbs. Some evening and weekend work is expected around major conferences and Neumo's annual customer conference. Frequent communication across time zones via phone, email, and Microsoft Teams to coordinate with vendors, venues, and internal stakeholders. Physical Demands: Must be able to remain seated for extended periods. Regular use of a computer and other office machinery, such as printers and copy machines. Occasional movement around the office. Frequent communication via telephone. Neumo Summary: With the backing of four decades of public sector expertise and corporate capability, Neumo has successfully supported government services. Neumo was honored and recognized for four (4) consecutive years as a GovTech 100 Company representing the top 100 companies focused on making a difference in and selling to state and local government agencies across the United States. Neumo is committed to helping communities thrive and brings a wealth of experience combined with innovation. Today, Neumo offers more administrative and financial support to government officials than any other organization. And with a responsive, client-focused approach, we foster partnerships that give our customers the certainty they need to accomplish more. Neumo offers a competitive benefits and compensation package and are looking for team members who will thrive in our dynamic environment. Neumo is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Selection for a position will be made without regard to race, religion, national origin, sex, political affiliation, marital status, non-disqualifying physical handicap, and age.
