Field Service Engineer

Company Description

Anton Paar, one of the world leaders in laboratory instrumentation and services, has a new vacancy for a Field Service Engineer based in Perth (home-office). The Field Service Engineer will provide on-site support to customers in Western Australia carrying out preventative maintenance and repairs. The successful candidate will join a motivated, international team in a supportive work environment.

Job Description

• Duties include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of Anton Paar’s Analytical measuring devices
• Calibration and electronic adjustments
• Evaluating malfunctioning instruments and preparing estimates for the cost of repair
• Inventory management (car stock)
• Completion of administrative tasks associated with field service actions
• This role is home office based and the service work will be carried out on customer's sites
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a field-based service role
• Qualification in Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
• Experience with laboratory or analytical instruments
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics
• Customer-facing experience with professional communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage service priorities
• Valid unrestricted driver's license
• Valid unlimited working rights in Australia
• Willingness to travel locally and overseas for training including overnight stays
• Ability to work independently and responsibly within a team
