Field Service Technician (Medical Devices)

Remote | Northern Italy (Milan Region Preferred) | Extensive Travel

At Natus, we are committed to improving patient outcomes through innovative neurology and neurodiagnostic solutions. We are looking for an experienced Field Service Technician to join our team and support customers across Northern Italy.

This is a remote, field-based role ideally suited to someone located in the Milan region, providing technical support, installations, maintenance, and training for advanced medical technology used in hospitals and healthcare facilities.

What You'll Be Doing

As a trusted technical expert, you will:

• Install, commission, maintain, and repair neurology and neurodiagnostic systems at customer sites.
• Perform system upgrades, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and fault resolution.
• Support customers with hardware, software, networking, and system integration issues.
• Conduct site surveys and coordinate installation projects from planning through completion.
• Deliver customer training to ensure safe and effective use of equipment.
• Provide remote technical support via phone and digital tools.
• Document service activities, reports, quotations, and technical records accurately.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Sales, and Quality teams to resolve complex issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Build strong customer relationships while delivering an exceptional service experience.

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, IT, Medical Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Significant field service experience supporting complex technical equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, operating systems, and networks.
• Experience performing installations, maintenance, and customer-facing technical support independently.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Native or fluent Italian.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout Northern Italy.

Preferred

• Experience within the medical device, healthcare technology, or diagnostics industry.
• Knowledge of Microsoft desktop and server environments.
• Understanding of Active Directory, Group Policies, and network infrastructure.
• Experience with SQL Server or database administration.
• Working knowledge of English.
